Hotel Santa Cruz

The hotel is in a location that is a little far away from all the major areas, so takes about 45 minutes walking to get anywhere. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Location is great. The hotel is dated but you can’t beat the price!

This hotel is in a good location and rooms are realatively clean. Only window in the room was frosted over as it looked out onto a storage area so there was no natural light in the room. Shower dripped all night and no staff at hand in the evening to fix it so had to put up with noise all night. Rooms are not soundproofed at all so you can hear all the goings on from the restaurant area downstairs and from other rooms. Would not stay here again given so many better options around Lima.

The hotel is very bad in customer service at the same time the rooms are very dirty and the internet is not working there.

A notch down from your Sheratons and Hiltons, most staff are very respectful and kind. Cleaning personnel was great and no matter what we left out in plain sight nothing got lost. The property is getting a little old, some rooms show it more than others. Lima's winter is humid and you mind find your room cold. Their heater wont help much so bring thick pijamas. Breakfast is OK: eggs, ham, cheese but no sausage, their waffers and pancakes are sad attempts. Lots of great infusions though and drinks... if you get traveler stomack flu drink their anisse and black tea infusion combined: it works!

Room was warm, dark, small, with indoor windows. Can't leave the windows open as you get the noise from below which was a sitting area adjacent to a restaurant and bar. The person at the reception was not very helpful. On the second day, we insisted on a change of room, and got one that was just slightly better as the window opened outside (to a wall!), but at least was not noisy.
