Staff were great, great location

No lounge bar to enjoy an evening. Lots of stairs, no lift

The staff were excellent

Thought the room was expensive for it's size and condition.

It's by far the nicest stay I've ever had

Good food staff. lovely .shower was nearly cold .Bathroom was very old No heating on in bedroom .Only an electric heater..Pictures are decieving

Location for event

Electrical extensions unsuitable for a kettle which ended up spilt on floor Food was pub grub, other than Risotto everything was with chips and peas. It was served in public bar with TV on football and very rowdy Asked for glass of Merlot but bill showed Malbec which was £3 more! But who could I question?? Breakfast Eggs Benedict was two poached eggs on muffin covered in hollandaise sauce, no bacon or ham! Sorry but chef's skills have seriously let this hotel down. Reception and serving staff at breakfast advised of my dissatisfaction An extremely disappointed customer

We arrived and after finding someone to check us in were given a key to room 4. On entering, the room was freezing. Very small and dingy with an awful pink bathroom. Went to the bar to advise the heating wasn't working, and was told they could give us a portable heater !!! Declined and asked to be given another room. We were given room 1 which was bigger and warm. The hot water system is a joke, to get the shower warm , you have to run the bath taps first. Basically trickled out, no power whatsoever. Bed was fairly comfy, that was the only plus. Rooms need updating, definetly not 4 star. Definetly disappointed £138 for 1 night B&B
