What a great place! This is an old coaching inn and you can feel the atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Steeped in history but modern changes making it a great place to stay, drink and eat.

"Warm welcome and a very comfortable stay. Evening meal was delicious and nicely presented."

From the moment I entered the Hotel the Receptionist was welcoming, and helped with my bags to my room. The Dining staff were also helpful and made my stay very enjoyable. When I come up this way from England I will seriously consider returning.

Food excellent

The room was dated, small and not especially clean. The tv did not work properly and was situated at a silly angle. The room, like the restaurant was cold. Despite excellent food, service, welcome and ambiance were lacking downstairs. Didnt bother with bar. Will not stay again.
