We booked very last minute and didn’t arrive at the property until 1am they didn’t realise we was coming so when I phoned the gentleman that answered was lovely he drove down to get us checked in

The bed wasn’t a double it was 2 singles and was very expensive

Meals and proximity of the bar, city center, Melrose, Tweed River and Scotland in general.

We are in our mid 70’s with physical limitations. No lift and no staff readily available to assist with heavy luggage.

Staff are wonderful and, food was great. Excellent breakfast. Lovely bar and seating area.

Water pressure in shower was poor.

Property was lovely and central to what I needed. Would look fresher with new paint and refurb.

There was issues with the bathroom of our room which I made aware to the receptionist. Main point being bathroom ceiling was starting to peel and there was noticeable signs of steam damage.

Good dinner table position in the bar. Helpful friendly staff. Tasty breakfast. Hotel decor and condition better than expected! Interesting building.

In cold weather the bathroom in our room was icy. The radiator (for towels) couldn't cope. The menu for dinner was a bit limited and a bit uninspiring (but perfectly tasty)

Shower had very low pressure, and room a little dated
