Four Points by Sheraton Hangzhou, Binjiang

The facilities and location is average but we were impressed with the Chief Conciege, Harbour. He spoke good English and is always approachable and helpful. He went out of his way to help us book Impressions Hangzhou show and arrange for the transport. He is always smiling and making sure we are well taken care of. He made a huge difference to our stay.

Booked for 2 nights in July, and due to missing a flight could not make the first night. I called around 4pm and advised them - they said I'd be charged anyway, which I expected. I confirmed I would be there for the following night. When I arrived, they said I didn't have the king size bed that I'd booked, even though they'd charged me for it the night before! So I was left with a single bed. No discounts. They offered 2 beers at the bar to make up for it, but all they had was a warm local beer that was literally undrinkable. So don't come here.

Had a good experience with this hotel. A shoutout to Harbour, the Chief Concierge who went many extra miles to make our stay pleasant. Meeting needs from handling our last minute requests to book tour bus, tickets, offering to receive and deliver your parcel on your behalf to even help you fixed your broken mobile phone. Six star service. Clap Clap!

The room was spacious. Housekeeping was efficient. Toiletries could have been more generous. Breakfast was bad. Fried eggs were hard and quite inedible. There was only watermelon juice on offer. Variety was modest. Concierge services were efficient. The hotel was quite far from the main tourist sites particularly around the West Lake. The neighborhood was quite boring with no good shopping and scenic areas. There is definitely better alternative accommodation.

The hotel has nice rooms and comfortable public area. The staff recognizes SPG Gold and automatically provides room upgrade. However, it is located somewhat far from the tourist destinations so trying to get a taxi during rush hour could be difficult. I would give it 4.5 star if that rating were available.

Stayed here for a night while on a business trip to Hangzhou. Conveniently located close to the river and many businesses, but hard to find many food options. The breakfast spread is pretty good - featuring a wide range of local Chinese food as well as usual western options. Room was big, and well appointed. Decent WiFi connectivity. In short, a very good option @ Hangzhou for a business stay.

Hotel is nice and check in was quick. The room is big and comfortable with free WiFi.

I was impressed with the staff servicing me at all contact points: Receptionists, Duty Managers, F&B Managers, Operators, Room Cleaners, Door Bell Staff. They are all very courteous, helpful and gave excellent services. Very clean, comfortable and modern room. Good Breakfast items and F&B Manager, Mr Bruce, is simply Awesome. Greet us by our surname and helped us with take away breakfast bags when we are in a rush of time.

Customer Service is excellence.

Check in was smooth as they easily found my reservation. The check in staff were warm and welcome. They told me they were giving me a free upgrade, though I didn't see any difference between the room I ordered and the room I got. The air conditioning worked fine. The bed was firm, but not hard, adequate for sleeping, pretty good for China. The bathroom was rather dark, but fine enough for having a hot shower. I rarely order room service when away, but because of the time constraints of this trip, I decided to fill out the card and order room service for breakfast. I chose an omelette which was supposed to come with my choice of 3 accompanying sides. I filled out the card and selected my 3 sides. I also chose to order a deluxe continental breakfast as I wanted some pastries and a coffee. When breakfast came up, there was an omelette on one plate and 3 tiny danish on another. No sides. No sausage, no bacon, no potatoes, no butter, jam or honey as promised. Just an omelette and 3 tiny pastries. For the price of about $13 each, plus tax and sc. Hugely disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. And considering how well my arrival had gone. I had asked about a taxi for 9am to get to the train, the night bellman told me it was not a problem and they'd arrange it. Next morning, no taxi, because they said it was rush hour. One did finally come. Given all the options there are in Hangzhou, I'll likely try somewhere else next time, as I've seen other nice looking places for cheaper.
