"Golf House Hotel, Huddersfield"

The property is “tired” the hallway carpet had seen better days (a clean and refit wouldn’t go amiss), the bar was not appealing, and the menu limited. Our room (19) had mismatching bedside cabinets, the tv was old and the remote indecipherable, the bath had a large piece of enamel missing, Positives: Allow dogs

Reasonable price, bed comfy and room clean. Room 15 had a unpleasant old smell and you could hear the tv in the next room.

Needs some TLC lawns out side need mowing and inside could do with a lick of paint ,the staff are very good and helpfull .breakfast could do with a overhaul but still good .

This is the third time we have stayed at the Old Golf House and as per usual it met all its high standards. Lovely hotel and surroundings, extremely pleasant staff. Would have no hesitation recommending to others.

I was not very happy with breakfast. When I read grilled kippers on the menu I expect grilled kippers. Not steamed, boiled or microwaved. Otherwise nice.

Staff were all lovely but the hotel is in need of a refresh in some areas. We had a family room which was very spacious and clean. I wouldn’t say the hotel is child friendly as there is nothing for them not even a child menu. The hotel did make a meal up for My granddaughter but seems strange not to have a child menu.
