Ettington Park Hotel

The hotel and service is very good, but the food was disappointing. The dinner desert menu was very uninspired and the melon and mint desert tasted like Just like night nurse. Horrid!

This was our 3rd visit to Ettington and the 1st visit since hotels reopened following the Covid-19 outbreak and we were not disappointed. The hotel only had 7 rooms occupied during our stay and so evening dinner lacked a bit of atmosphere, purely because of the low number of guests (maybe turning the background music up a notch might have helped here). The hotel obviously has to operate to social distancing regulations and did so in a very professional, friendly and accomodating way. We received a very warm welcome when we arrived and a fond farewell when we left and everything in between couldn't have been better. The food was excellent, the service was 1st class as always, thanks to Christina and Jordan who couldn't do enough for us. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Pleasant location with helpful staff and good food. An old house with lots of interesting features just a few miles outside Stratford upon Avon. Well worth a visit.

Mediocre experience. We went for a birthday celebration.Phoned to make a booking for the restaurant. The person from the hotel chain said they would get someone to phone back. That never happened. When we arrived at the hotel the restaurant was fully booked. We ended up having to eat in the bar. The food was poor and extremely over priced.The birthday celebration was ruined. Wont be going back.

Amazing stay..2 nights R&R desperately needed. Nothing too much trouble, fantastic setting. Restaurant food and wine excellent.

Excellent stay,one small complaint the bathroom was very cold

We loved the character of the building, the grounds and the cleanliness.The staff too were friendly and helpful. However, since returning we have noticed a decline in the service at breakfast. Toast was brought to the table once seated but sadly by the time breakfast arrived the toast was cold. Maybe a rolling toaster would be better for guests so they could also toast the other bread varieties on offer at the buffet. The buffet did not include hot milk or a choice of milk alternatives other than soya.

We enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay at Ettington Park. Would definitely return! Our room (Shirley Suite) was enormous, very comfortable and overlooked the gardens and river to front of the property. Lots of lovey touches on arrival. Although clearly a building with centuries of history, modern comforts were not lacking. We dined in the Oak Room on Thursday evening and would recommend you do so without hesitation. Staff were friendly and attentive at all times. A special mention for Charlotte on reception who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thanks to everyone that helped make our wedding anniversary extra special!
