The Confederate House

The reason why I give it a poor review is because it needs a good cleaning. I understand older homes can lack the conveniences of modern hotels and I don't mind that. However the outside and inside really needs to be cleaned. The wallpaper is peeling off, just regular upkeep needs to be stepped up for the amount of the room rate, for the price I would expect more. The breakfast was good and plenty and it was nice to meet other guests and the inn keeper. She is a nice lady and tries to make you feel comfortable. Not very flexible if you get there early and just want to park your car.

The property has been renovated and put back into its original condition complete with imported chandeliers from Europe. It is a very historical building and I am very fond of history so that was fun. Colleen was an extremely interesting person and very fun to talk to you as well!

This was our first experience at a B&B. It was absolutely wonderful! We had a great time and will definitely come back.

Had to park away from facility in Cary bags a block to the bed-and-breakfast stairs were very steep especially in side going up to your room the breakfast was not good at all overall very disappointed would not recommend this to anyone

Location was perfect for Rock and Roll Savannah race - right at finish line.

Fantastic old hotel worth staying for the ambience. Room bit pricey and the live-in landlady is a bit intense. 4 of us sat for breakfast in the massive function room while she hogged the conversation with her finances & medical history. No breakfast options offered - day one was 3 blueberry pancakes (really good) and day 2 was porridge with fruit in it. OK if you liked what she produced. Apart from that she was very sweet. PS; Great location with free off street parking & free 'DOT' bus right outside.

My wife and I were in Savannah to celebrate our 20th anniversary and decided to try a B&B for the first time. We found this location to very quaint and in a great location right across from Forsyth Park. Good size room with an oversized bathroom. Host was very friendly and gave a lot of historical info on the house and the surounding area. The breakfasts were very tasty.

Loved staying in this beautiful older home. There are several stairs, so not recommended for someone with bad knees, etc.
