The Confederate House

It is a very nice place to stay and you really can't beat the location. The inn could use some updates but overall it was very pleasant and worked well for our stay in Savannah.

What could I possibly say that could relay how very traumatic this experience was. Will never book again with Expedia and will unboudtbly tell anyone who cares to listen how awful this “bed and breakfast” is

The Confederate House is a authentic 1800's Southern gem. Lady Coleen the hostess is wonderful, accommodating and a great story teller, who thoroughly entertained us at her great southern style breakfasts. If your looking for fancy and all the bells and whistles stay at one of those cookie cutter chain hotels. If your looking to step back in time and have a true Southern antebellum experience the you need to try The Confederate House. Great neighborhood, walking distance to attractions a true Southern find run by a true Southern Belle.

Great location across from park. Free Public transportation right outside door and hop on bus at end of park. Owner very friendly

Host made a delightful breakfast and made all attempts to be helpful. Just know that it is called, “The Confederate” and takes pride in that name.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Confederate House. Our room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It is very quiet and relaxing. This beautiful B&B is just a short walk to downtown and the River Front district. There is also a FREE city bus that stops in front of the B&B and takes you to all the hot spots. Our host, Colleen, is a charming, gracious lady, who made our experience in Savannah a most amazing one. Every morning we were treated with a wonderful culinary experience for breakfast. On the second floor where the rooms are located, there is a sitting area and a table which Colleen keeps stocked with freshly baked cookies, candies, and coffee for all the guests. Confederate House is also located directly across the street from a beautiful park. We were truly thrilled with our stay and will definitely return.

Beautiful historic home and breakfast was wonderful. There is also a bus stop right up front so you don’t have to ever drive.

This amazing old mansion is run by and interesting woman who can bring the culture of old Savannah to life if you take time to listen. Certainly learned more from her than any tour guide. The house was clean and the breakfast absolutely delicious all 3 days we were there. This is where you will get most of your discussion so listen up! Lovely sitting area upstairs with lots of good things to nibble on and a Keurig for fresh coffee.

Great location. Authentic house. Downstairs restored. Upstairs not so much. The bed in the Jackson room is creaky and broken. We slept on a slant. Colleen runs the place and loves to chat endlessly. If you like this you’ll be fine. If you are tired or have anywhere to go, be careful about engaging her. She is very territorial about everything from the kureg to wastebasket liners.

Need to bring your own ice! Bed was comfortable. No fans in room. The bathroom sinks did not drain properly. One faucet on the sink was nearly hanging on. Just to say was not worth the money you pay to stay there. Will not go back
