"Love the Onsens "

10.0

The resort was first class. We loved the Onsen which they had both private and public. They had no restrictions on Tattoos. The breakfast was great and we saved a lot of money on dinners since they had free wine, soups, miso, udon, etc every afternoon.

"Great experience - highly recommend"

9.0

Absolutely top notch experience. We were kept happy 24/7 - snacks available all day, a few fantastic onsen options (private / public), resort’s shuttle bus to get around, helpful and knowledgeable staff, clean rooms with high quality daily service

Once piece of constructive feedback - early morning transportation can be a challenge. Advice to staff is to warn people to order scheduled early morning pickups on the departure date as the rest of the itinerary can be at risk

I booked this property for the sole purpose of snow sports in Hakuba. However, I feel this property is not designed and build for winter season. To access the rooms from the main building (lobby, restaurants etc), one has to walk through an unheated walkway, expose to the cold and wind. Imagine doing this at -6 degrees temperature. The snow equipment storage is an after-thought. It is a container situated outside on the driveway. It is not a dry room and to access the snow equipment, one has to be expose to the elements again. (this time, there are no shelters to protect the guest).

"Excellent"

The property is very expensive for the area. The service was lovely except for the last day when we needed to leave the hotel and get to the bus station to leave Hakuba. The front desk staff was unable to find a taxi to pick us up and the hotel shuttle could not be sent to the bus station for an 8 am instead of 9 am run. We were not able to make the departure bus that we hoped to get on. We eventually took the hotel's shuttle van 30 minutes after our hoped for departure and caught a bus out of town and Aside from the lack of transportation coordination and the fact that the hotel charged me an additional $500 at checkout for my kids lodging and food (which I thought I had paid through the high Expedia price of $1,600 for 2 nights) there was much that was good about the hotel. We loved our beautiful dinners and breakfast buffets, the room was spacious and comfortable, the complimentary wine at happy hour in the lounge was lovely. But in the end, the very high price per night for the 4 of us paired with the stress on our departure day (which we began talking with the hotel staff about the afternoon prior) made for a less than perfect experience.

"Happy family time at Hakuba ski station"

8.0

- general feeling quite nice, with snacks/tea room near lobby when back from ski - hotel generally very clean, - onsen quite nice, - food quality, - good choice for breakfast, and not too crowdy, making the breakfast general feeling being relax - ski/material rental at hotel is very convenient, including hotel lockers

- hotel employees not too flexible at first, but then when trying again, there is still some degrees of flexibility which is possible, for late dinner booking or basic foods delivered to room for example. - 2 dinner sets available(+ limited but nice a la carte), 1x chinese set, 1x french set, with limited availability per time frame; alternatively consider taking a taxi for a dinner downtown hakuba. - onsen direction(west side one) not clear in the hotel; I recommend the hotel to add some marking for the west side one - the outside terrace walk is icy by evening/night and there is no safety carpet everywhere; I therefore recommend hotel to improve for it(safety first !) as I did fall on my back; got very lucky not to land at emergency - city bus shuttle to ski stations is great to stop at hotel; just; it is very crowdy, so depending on your budget, you may prefer taking a taxi instead (also everyday need to register with QR code including email address and other info; little time consuming and complicated for just taking a shuttle bus) - if possible, I recommend hotel to keep the pool/dart room open later than in the afternoon as most people go to ski day time during winter, so have no time to enjoy it during the stay(especially with kids). - last but not least, loosing 1x room key (simple room card) cost 3000JPY ! i recommend hotel to find a way keeping the price cheaper; please understand that people do not voluntarily loose the room card(especially can happen for kids).

"Comfortable stay"

9.0

Spacious lounge and common facilities. We like the convenience of its own ski rental, the 4 private onsen and the free flow wine/ sake and light snacks. Oden is very good. Rooms are comfortable and spacious.

The wifi bandwidth is low and no Netflix in the room. I think the cleanup of the rooms could be better (removal of used cups, replenishing of tea bags, tidiness of the bed) although these are small complaints.

"Loved our stay. Hopefully will be back some day"

9.0

Free snacks and wine in the lounge for guests is wonderful after a day of skiing. All of the staff were extremely friendly and the room was well kept. The private Onsen opens up for booking at 3pm daily which was great!

Some of the reviews complain of the location. We rented a car and we thought the location was fabulous and away from some of the more boisterous parts of town. It’s a peaceful escape in the woods.
