Box Canyon Lodge and Hot Springs

Ouray is breathtaking but this hotel is a huge disappointment. Small room, no place to plug in phones etc and dirty carpet. Just off Main St so good walk ability but many better choices right on Main St. advertised hot tubs were not hot and many were unavailable due to maintenance. Towels provided but u have to rent robes at $5/ea. At $200, value was not there.

Room was not level sinking on one side

We have stayed here MANY times over the last couple of decades. We specifically come for the hot springs. While the redoing of the pools has some advantages, the inconsistent temps and the VERY hazardous slime in the tubs made our soaks more of a struggle than a joy. The breakfast now offered was more than adequate but we truly hope they work the bugs out of the hot tub situation. We don’t come for breakfast

Breakfast was lousy Room needs some improvements for price point

First they cancelled my reservation. After many calls they determined it was human error. Luckily they had one room left. They then charged me double for a second room I had booked. Breakfast was a bust. Out of food. Waited 15 minutes and gave up. Holes in towels. Rooms are dated. Hot tubs looked dirty and full of algae. Doubt I stay here again
