Sedgebrook Hall

Breakfast food was very good, but crowded, not good in hot weather.

Picky but tea making was in wardrobe and fridge ..empty..was on the only table space.

We stayed at Sedgebrook Hall while attending my brother’s funeral on the Friday, and we were looking for somewhere peaceful, comfortable, and relaxing during a very difficult time. It turned out to be the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, warm, and friendly. Their kindness and professionalism made a real difference to our stay. Dinner was excellent, beautifully prepared and presented, and breakfast was plentiful with a generous selection to choose from. We also appreciated the tea and coffee machines conveniently located around the communal areas near the bar. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, and every member of staff we encountered was genuinely lovely. It was refreshing to experience such consistently high standards of hospitality and customer service, especially after some disappointing experiences elsewhere that had left me questioning whether traditional hospitality still existed. I know some guests have commented on the age of the building and signs of wear, but it’s important to consider the exceptional value for money this beautiful hotel offers. Maintaining a property of this size and character must be a significant undertaking, and it’s clear that the key areas of the hotel are very well cared for. I have family living nearby, and Sedgebrook Hall will absolutely be my first choice whenever I visit in the future. I will also be recommending it to friends and family without hesitation. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for making our stay so comfortable and memorable during such a sad and difficult time. Oh and a big shout out to the hotel cat, Clyde, you big old charmer!

Room comfortable, staff freindly, bar and restaurant well appointed.

Breakfast was cold, no complimentary water in rooms...and not even water glasses in bathroom.

The rooms aren’t where the image show them to be and are in a completely separate building a bit like council houses. The spa is only a swimming pool.

The bar food was very disappointing and also some of the breakfast items. However they did cater for my husband who is vegan. I could also ask for poached eggs on the second day so I was very happy with that. I would be cautious when booking if you have a disability as there are a lot of steps and your room could be far away, unless you can specify with the hotel for it to be nearer. Staff very nice.

I thought the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Breakfast I could not fault was amazing

The fact I booked supreme that comes with extras snacks and robes which we did not receive until 4 o'clock the next day even tho we complained as soon as we got there, I wanted to have a relaxing stay and use the room service which was available but had no phone in room to ring through so needed to go to bar to order room service cause of no phone in room to then be told I had to pay £5 room service charge even tho I done half the work for them which is laughable. Don't even get me started on the pool which was absolutely filthy( not been cleaned in a while) disgusting!! The website said the jacuzzi and pool were available except between certain dates in May but open when we stayed which to my surprise no jacuzzi it was already shut down so not really a relaxing stay for me.
