"Looking forward to next visit"

Beautiful hotel with lots of period details. Check in was organised. Room was basic as a standard double but still comfortable and very clean Bathroom looks a bit tired but was fully useable. Bar well stocked and reasonable prices Outdoor terrace would benefit from parasols and some handrails for the steps as quite uneven. Menu was ok if you liked posh foods and reasonably priced Buffet breakfast was excellent, so much to choose from. I didn’t like the scrambled eggs as were too wet so they cooked me some to meet my fussy taste. The staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them There was a wedding taking place whilst we were staying but it was organised well and didn’t bother us in any way, we couldn’t hear the music late at night

Due to the outside temperature the bedroom was extremely hot, No aircon or fan provided so was an uncomfortable night and disturbed sleep

Staff very friendly and very helpful, breakfast brilliant, location was perfect for what we wanted, lovely grounds etc

This is not a complaint but I found the beds were to soft for me

Location was stunning and there's a amazing pub a few minutes down the road

The spa wasn't as shown (no hot tub). Had to wait over 10 mins for a member of staff at the bar. The shower temperature in the room was cold
