Quality Inn Downtown Helen

Fire pit and close to town walking.

Paying for parking!! And smokers at the fire pit and pool!! No designated area for those smokers.

Jim checked us in and was very polite and professional but friendly.

The fridge leaked onto the floor. The bathroom had a little mold .the couch had a stain on the seat.

The place was clean the lady was very nice let us stay in the pool 30 minutes after lmao will definitely come back

The tv was being weird but it wasn’t bad we where tired anyway lol

Our room was very clean - it even smelled 'clean'. The flooring was in great condition and was not carpet. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The ac/heater was not too noisy, and we controlled the temperature. The blackout window screen was excellent (the screen was inside a "boundary", so light from the sides did not come through. The lighting next to the bed, chair, and desk was great for reading. The water got hot quickly and lasted. We appreciated the included shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The mini fridge/freezer worked great. The front desk lady (Lilly) was friendly and helpful. The morning manager (Jim) kept the breakfast offerings stocked. The location was about 1 block off of the main road, thus the street noise was not noticeable.

When we booked the reservation, we requested a room on the top (2nd) floor, but none was available when we arrived at 5:30 pm. Lilly (front desk) tried to accommodate us, but was unable to. This was our 3rd stay in a Quality Inn during the past 13 months; this breakfast offering was too limited (unless you like sugar for breakfast): waffles, cereal, toast, bagels, mini-muffins, small sugar-filled yogurt, apples, and orange juice. There was no simple protein offering. Our other 2 stays had: 1 -scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, biscuits, fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, juices, coffee; 2 - pre-packaged sausage-egg-cheese biscuit, yogurt, cereal, toast, juices, coffee. I expect all Quality Inns to be as similar as possible (the bedding is, so why not breakfast?).
