Extended Stay America Suites - Phoenix - Chandler

First , this is the worst hotel I have ever seen. While parking notice multiple homeless people and people of shady character doing exchanges in the parking lot. Side doors were held open with trash cans as well ( not safe). Upon entering the lobby the front lobby was a mess and smelt terrible. Chairs had multiple stains on them and floor was dirty. Was worried but checked in away since I was staying during a busy time, and hoping the room would be different. Unfortunately it just kept getting worse. Before entering the room, the door had been tampered with and someone had obviously had broken into it. Was not secure at all. When I entered the room , it looked like someone got in a fit . It again smelt horrible( like drugs) room had not been fully cleaned as there was left over used soap and toilet was not flushed. Window was open to probably air out the drug smell. Lamp shades were damaged like someone had a fit in the room or punched them. Unknown whit substance on dresser that looked like drugs. I went back down to lobby to demand a refund, as you could not pay me to stay there. Other people were at the desk also asking for refunds and feeling this hotel was not safe. The front desk person laughed at me and said I could not get a refund. They were very rude and did not care about the customers. This hotel should be shut down. It’s a drug place . I am fighting my card company to get a refund.

My experience from the beginning was horrible,, the manager was chatting for 20 minutes on the phone before acknowledging me. The check in was supposed to be at 10:00am per Expedia; which was not honored upon arrival. Our bath tub was clogged, I called the front desk, he said he would send the janitor. A gal showed up with a stick that she stuck in the tub. She began to laugh and she said she has no idea what she was doing. It was not a funny matter.I had two small children that needed to bathe after traveling for hours. Your staff defenitly needs to be re-educated, and your staff needs to have some mandatory in-services. I would not refer my Colorado friends or families to stay here at your Chandler location.

The price was affordable

Lots of things that caught my attention. Walking in the room appeared to be nice but found a huge square covered hole that wasn’t completed by plaster behind the entrance door. Found hair in the bathroom sink and shower. Bed was quite uncomfortable and pillows were thin and not fluffy. Furniture looks as if it was from taken from the garbage and just cleaned it up.

Clean and good

The mattress was extremely comfy. They brought up extra pillows within 5 minutes of us asking. The breakfast was nice for on the go. I didn't realize that they offered a free breakfast. The Blueberry muffins were wonderful. My husband said the coffee was very good. I had never stayed in a room that had a full sized refrigerator, a stove, and a sink. It had a microwave too. Very convenient.

I saw few homeless people walking around. Noisy with some people moving at 2:40 am, staff talking in the hall way at 4 am, soft bed, Luke warm shower
