King's Pointe Waterpark Resort

We didn't like the hours of the pool area and outside pool area.

We had a lake-view room on the first level. It was clean and comfortable. There was some noise but what are you going to do - it's a hotel that seems to cater to families. We had two small boys so they probably made some noise as well. The internet was decent for a hotel wifi. We enjoyed walking along the lake edge and the boys especially enjoyed the water parks. There is a very nice playground adjoining the property and several excellent Mexican restaurants in town. We were very happy with our stay.

Room carpet was musty and damp, no housekeeping unless you've booked 3 nights or more (that's what we were told when we went down to get new trash bags and towels), and restaurant was very backed up and slow. Front desk personnel were friendly and apologetic... I think the hotel is just way under staffed.

The water park is fun but keep an eye on your love ones. The guards were stretched with the areas they were watching.

Check in person distracted, doing other things. Problems with light fixture in room, restaurant hostess said 45 minute wait for kitchen when we asked what we were supposed to do she shrugged her shoulders. When calling front desk on light fixture, told didn't know when someone would come, offered to call back, didn't. In-door pool no towels, area dirty. Offered no assistance in getting towels.

Decor very outdated, clean-Isu, front desk staff was very rude and seemed annoyed with questions and also checking in is very slow! Food and staff at in-house restaurant was good.

Overall it was a nice getaway. We stayed in a suite and expected better. Like some silverware, plates, bowls, paper towels, and glasses couldve been provided for us.

Great place for family vacation
