King's Pointe Waterpark Resort

The air conditioning didn’t work well. It was hot overnight and before check out so I didn’t sleep well.

We stay at Kings Pointe several times a year. It's close to family that we visit and enjoy the indoor and outdoor waterparks. Kings Pointe is a nice getaway that is not too far from home and right next to Storm Lake. Great rooms and resturant that's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All the family has dinner at the resturant for the great food and drinks and it's family friendly too. Service is always great for our big or small groups. A late night cocktail by the fireplace on the patio next to the lake is a great end to the day. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Don't know what it is but I love their beds. So comfy. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Location is great with a big playground close by, green space to play, pretty flowerbeds and landscaping, bike and walking trail that goes along the lake, with a beach and boat docks for guests nearby. There's a bike shop for bike rental, miniature golf, and a golf couse within a short walking distance. Kings Pointe is a great place to stay with lots to do. Love it!

Beautiful location, very nice Motel

Granted, there are not many places to stay in Storm Lake but I can assure you this hotel has seen better days. From shower curtains that are one foot too short so water is all over the floor, a shower pan broken in two places and also stained a brownish yellow, to wood literally peeling off the bathroom door (which also doesn't shut), I'd recommend saving some money and staying at the Super 8. I'm certain it's better than Kings Point!

King’s Pointe looks nice from the outside, but once you’re in it’s kinda worn down. Extremely loud if anyone is above you, can hear every step. Only one phone worked in the room. Remote for the tv was worn and torn and only worked sometimes. Service at water park was terrible. They had the staff, but they didn’t use them properly. Was in line for 25 mins with only 3 people in from of me. When I got to the window, two people were standing around and another was sitting on the freezer. Ordered a salad from the restaurant inside the hotel and got 1/4 of a head of lettuce with once slice of tomato and ranch had to cut the lettuce up. Front desk was extremely slow, they were new as only one person knew what to do. Water park was nice though. That’s all I can say. If I got back, I will not order anything from the water park and will not stay at King’s Pointe.

You want to know what the favorite part of my trip was? The entire thing. I can't believe I waited so long to book a night there. For those of you who have never been there and for those of you who have never had a night away from home, what're you waiting for?! From the time we walked in the door, up until the very last moment we left, the hospitality was phenomenal. The staff is amazing, like a breath of fresh air. The food at the restaurant was exquisite, good quality and quanity. We had supper and breakfast there, my sons (normally are so picky) ate so good, I was impressed. The view is beautiful. We picked city view but man, as soon as you walk in the door and catch a glimpse of that lake view you'll want to alternate the next time you go back. We didn't get the chance to try out the Waterpark and still had a great time. Definitely kid and family friendly. My kids were begging me to book another room for the next weekend before we even left. If you want to stay some where that isn't overpriced, outdated and your family will love, then book a room, for a night or a weekend. Chances are you'll be glad you did.

When we checked in at 7:30pm and went to our room it was dirty. The front desk girl seemed confused she did upgrade our room.
