Eight Acres Hotel

Nothing much

No lift, very basic rooms, very poor restaurant service.

I've stayed at the Eight Acres many times over the years and it has always been a busy and vibrant hotel, but this time it was virtually deserted. Given the absence of guests there were fewer staff on duty. The staff were polite and helpful, but the whole place felt empty. Neither the gym nor the pool was available during my stay.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was very nice. Reception and bar well decorated and pleasant. Room was clean and well presented and bed very comfy.

Long walk to the room and the hot water took a while to come through as old hotel but staff were open and ho eat about this and said leave it a few minutes to run. All the draft drinks were off in the bar also so went into Elgin city.

Better menus would have been better

The spa and facilities were all closed we were notified a few days before travel and we were disappointed

Restaraunt Staff were excellent.

Restaraunt service very slow, suspect there were insufficient staff in the kitchen. Leisure club closed.
