I visites this Hotel from 03. to 05.06.2025.
The hotel is located on an island at river Nile, in a beautiful well maintained garden, with well kept trees, flowers, full of birds.
There is a guard station at the entrance of the Hotel,
we were brought by our friend, and he had to leave his documents at the entrance, and pick them up at exit, so it gives a good sense of security.
The Hotel is formed of a central building where the Reception is, together with three different Restaurants, and of a cluster of bungalows, directly on the Nile. All of the rooms that are in bungalows further from the Reception are connected with golf carts on call, 24/7.
There are three pools, one of them is an infinity pool overlooking Nile, giving you the idea that you are swimming in the waters of Nile. It also creates a frame for beautiful sun sets behind Nile. I found it clean and well kept.
I have made a reservation for the Deluxe Room Nile View, which I paid almost double the price of a standard room. When we arrived, the person at the Reception didn't actually speak good English, and I encountered this problem subsequently when contacting Reception.
I was taken to my room by the kind man in a golf cart, I was given ground floor room, with pool view. Only at the outside patio that belonged to the room, was I able to cast a glance of a small part of Nile.
I called the Reception immediately, requesting the room that I wanted and booked. I waited for 30 very long minutes to get the keys for other room at the first floor (info for people with disabilities, there is no lift), it had a bequtiful view, but the air conditioner wasn't working. So I waited another half an hour for a maintenance person, who did his job very quickly.
During my three days stay, I had other problems with Reception personnel, that regarded their poor understanding of English language.
This is my only negative comment for this facility, and I am mentioning it not only because it caused a not comfortable beginning of my stay with waste of time, but also because the Reception is the first place a guest encounters, and is a reflection of the cure and care that the Hotel is ready to offer to it's guests.
In this Hotel it was not like this, the other personnel of the Hotel made my stay comfortable, beginning with golf cart drivers, all very kind and available, that arrived promptly to pick me up for transfer to the Restaurant or Reception.
The personell at the infinity pool, including the kind Lifeguard guy, were all ready to help, we got our pool towels immediately as we got there, and they were continuously available for us. My friend had a hamburger at the pool, which was excellent.
The restaurant with dinner buffet had a good variety of food, well prepared, served in a garden overlooking Nile, restaurant personnel was attentive and kind. The price for a buffet dinner was 27€, water excluded.
The breakfast was not included, it cost 22€, I didn't try it.
The room was spacious, bed comfortable, the balkony had a table and two chairs to enjoy beautiful sunsets over the Nile.
Considering that I had a higher class room it was strange that my friend who had standard room had more toiletries than me.
It is not a 5 star hotel by standards we are used to have in a 5 star. However, it's location is priceless, waking up to a birds chirps in flowered bushes along the Nile is marvelous, and all together the impression is very good, and I would definitely come back.
I think that management should pay much more attention to the choice of Reception personnel
