Ocean Coral & Turquesa All Inclusive

Loved it. Very relaxing, everything was taken care of. Carlos was awesome, he set up all our meals and constantly checked up on us to make sure we got what we needed.

Carlos our butler insured any needs we had on any given day were addressed. Rooms had been updated since previous visit and general maintenance was better. Of the H10 resorts we have been to Ocean Coral is our favorite because the people who work there are the best.

Our recent visit to OCT was most exceptional. We did not book Privilege and didn't have to. The service was most excellent right from our rooms, buffet, restaurants and bars. Recents reviews stated " not enough food in the buffet" NOT true! Everday had plenty with a lovely selection. Be sure and book the reservations right at 10:00am when they open if you want a specialty restaurant. Our favourites were, Juan at the swim up bar, Daysi in Route 66, Herberto at the sensai ! The only downside was the beach was unusable due to the sargassm.. but a daytrip to Isla Mjeres allowed us to get our beach fix in! There were enough activities on site to keep us as busy as we wanted to be. I would certainly recommend a stay at OCT.

I stayed at this hotel from 25 February to 10 March 2026 and left feeling thoroughly disappointed. It is significantly overpriced and falls well below what I would expect from a so called five star resort, for several reasons: Not Truly “Inclusive” If you’re expecting an all inclusive experience, think again. Service is consistently slow and poor—unless you tip. Every drink, every meal, every room clean… every single time. Bring plenty of cash if you want anything resembling decent service. Constant Queues Due to slow service and not enough staff, you end up queuing for everything: drinks at the bar, ice creams, entry to restaurants—even when you’ve booked. Which brings me to the next issue… Restaurant Chaos There are five bookable restaurants, but the booking system is absurd. You must book at 10am each morning via the hotel app. We struggled because: • Spaces disappear instantly. • You cannot book for more than four people (we were a group of five). To make matters worse, the restaurants are only ever half full. The app shows no availability while empty tables sit unused. Except for Blue Moon, the food was very poor. The Italian restaurant was particularly bad—so salty it was inedible—and the service was both slow and unfriendly. Pool Problems Getting a sunbed is a daily battle. Guests “reserve” beds with towels from around 7am, and although signs say towels will be removed after 30 minutes, this is never enforced. We ended up designating someone to wake up early just to claim beds. Ridiculous. Beach Issues Sargassum seaweed arrived during our stay and quickly became knee deep and foul smelling, making the beach unusable. While I understand the hotel can’t control nature, they could have made more effort to clear it. A tractor occasionally appeared but only pushed the seaweed into smelly piles. Clientele We paid a premium expecting a five star environment and refined atmosphere. Instead, the resort was dominated by loud, drunken trailer-park trash —more like an American 18–30 holiday than a luxury hotel. Not the experience expected. ________________________________________ The Positives • Clean, comfortable rooms. • Plenty of activities and entertainment, from aquarobics to pottery painting. • Tours available directly from the hotel (though expensive at $150–$200 per person). • A lovely on site coffee bar with cakes and sandwiches. • Good Wi Fi coverage throughout the resort.

Great experience. From our butler Jorge meeting us at our late check in, everyone else in between and our great pool guy Jose. Jose went above and beyond to make sure we jade a great time. Every bartender and waiter waitress have been fantastic. The maids did an incredible job every day. Thank you to everyone who has made this the most incredible vacation.

There were 3 women who went to this resort on a celebratory trip in January 2026. One lady was turning 65, and another was turning 70. We had a great experience here. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. We cannot provide enough praise for Antonio, our waiter at the pool/beach. He was fabulous and very attentive. Always remembered what our drink choices were (we had cups with our names on them), and he was a lot of fun to engage with. All in all, a great time was had.

Four of us traveling together arrived at Ocean Coral & Turquesa on Feb 7, 2026. The resort is big and located right on the beach. Ocean Coral & Turquesa is a family-oriented resort; but it does have an adult section, El Beso (that will change in May). We paid for privilege rooms. When paying for privilege you are entitled to a privilege-only beach, a special restaurant and a butler to name a few of the amenities. Check in was easy. Again one of the perks of privilege is a special check-in area for Privilege Guests. David was very efficient with this. The best thing about this was the bracelet made of wood and string that served to identify us as privilege guests and was also our room key. Our rooms were located in the El Beso area which is a bit quieter than the rest of the resort. This section has its own pool. Rooms were well appointed and large. The bed was very comfortable. During the day our housekeeping staff consistently maintained our room. It was always clean. Turndown service was hit or miss. This happened only two of the four nights we were there. Therefore, dirty towels were not replaced in the evening. Our butler, Claudia, was wonderful. She made all of our dinner reservations and if we needed anything, she arranged for that as well. Claudia arranged a very special dinner for us in the Privilege Restaurant. The food was very good. Service was wonderful. A big shout out to Jesus at the Privilege Bar inside the restaurant. He was very attentive, friendly and funny. Jesus made great drinks. I can’t forget to give mention of Jose, the beach concierge. He would always greet us with a big smile and friendly conversation. Each day he made sure our beach chairs were set up for us. If we needed anything at the beach, he would help us with this. A couple of suggestions for the beach area, however. The chairs were a bit rundown. The chairs were saggy and one was even broken. It’s time for some new chairs. The drink service at the privilege beach was almost nonexistent. Improvement in this area would go a long way in customer service. The four of us did not enjoy the plethora of raccoons at the resort. Too many people feeding them during the day. Thus, the raccoons kept hanging around. The four of us took advantage of couple massages. This massage was 80 minutes for $250/couple. The ladies doing our massages were great. Claudia and Michelle had hands of steel. Overall we enjoyed our time at Ocean Coral & Turquesa. The food was good in each of the restaurants in which we ate. We encountered some great employees such as Claudia, Jesus, Jose, Sebastian and Christian. Each made us feel at home. The resort is a good value for the money spent

We had a junior suite in the El Beso adults only section of the hotel. It had all the facilities promised including cleaning and mini bar being restocked daily but there was no kettle. A coffee machine and bags for it were provided but no thought given to tea drinkers. Obviously catering to their mainly US guests. Nor was breakfast tea available in the buffet restaurant. When I asked for it on our first morning I was told it was only for Premium guests! I later found I could get tea from Mike's coffee shop, having to queue for a takeaway cup to take into breakfast. Our other gripe was having to get up at sunrise if we wanted sunbeds by the El Beso pool or beach section. By breakfast they'd all been taken, usually by Privilege guests who were allocated a larger share of them. On a positive note, bar staff were excellent and guest services staff very helpful.

The Dive It Mexico were all very professional and did a great job. Arturo was a great instructor for my advanced open water Also Alex was very good. Martin was also great behind the desk. Gustavo was great to see again. 5 stars all around
