Shangri-La Chiang Mai

Staffs were excellent and helpful. The facility was cleaned andnice, the pool was nice with life gard attendant. Breakfast was excellent. Two things need some attention. 1. The floor of the standing shower stall was slippery because of soap and not draining well. 2. Mini bar had bottled beers but there was nobottle opener.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Nice pools, excellent breakfast, and our room was lovely.

Our air conditioner wasn’t working properly for half of our stay (during 40 degree heat!) but was fixed before we left.

I had a pleasant experience. It started with the registration. Both Rody and Praewa were very kind and helpful. They made guest check-in a pleasant time. They were kind enough to offer a very reasonable package to add to my stay: the use of Horizon Club. My wife and I can experience breakfast buffets. afternoon tea, and cocktail throughout my stay for $25 per person per night. Very modest prices. Deals like this are barely existent in the U.S. Rody snd Praewa are commendable in making Shangri-La guests feeling special and welcome.

Beautifully clean hotel, good location, friendly staff, great service and a relaxing pool area. Gluten free breakfast options were kept entirely separate to the gluten containing items. All staff were very friendly and customer focused but a special mention to Hanney at breakfast who always ensured that fresh pancakes were made for me during my stay - wonderful! Would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Shangri La.

Bathroom tiles can use upgrade

We absolutely loved our stay at the Shangri-La Chiang Mai! We actually moved here after a disappointing experience at a nearby property, and it couldn’t have been a better decision. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and efficient. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely comfortable. The property is gorgeous with many amenities. For a five-star hotel, the price was very reasonable—we would choose to stay here again without hesitation. The location is excellent, with many attractions within easy walking distance, and the breakfast was fresh and enjoyable each morning. The only minor drawback was the lack of access to streaming services on the TV—but that’s a small trade-off given how wonderful everything else was.

I like the older style rooms and hallways, you can tell the hotel had its glory in it's days and you can still experience this when you walk through the hallways and in the rooms. The enterance is grand and magical and the staff service was OK. All in all I truly enjoyed my stay and experience this beautiful hotel but it is fare from modern.

Upgraded to an executive suite with horizon club lounge access. Room was large and well appointed. Had breakfast in restaurant which was extensive. Evening canapés in the lounge was enough to cover dinner. Staff very helpful. Pool area very good, plenty of loungers, large pool and the children loved the water slide. Good quality gym. Took a taxi from airport, fixed price 180THB. China Mai old town easy to walk around and lots of temples to see. Hotel is about 30 min walk to old town gate. Rywin cafe 3 min walk from hotel was great for lunch, lovely food and not expensive.
