The Juliet Hotel

Great spot

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Juliet Hotel in Lafayette, and it was truly an amazing experience. The hotel exudes a sense of heritage and glamour that immediately sets it apart. My room was exceptional—spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. I slept extremely well, which speaks volumes about both the bed quality and the overall peaceful ambiance. The surroundings were just as impressive, with plenty of dining and shopping choices all within easy walking distance. It made exploring Lafayette a real joy without needing to rely on transportation. Overall, I would highly recommend The Juliet Hotel to anyone looking for a charming and luxurious place to stay. It offers the perfect blend of character, comfort, and convenience.

Easy parking, accommodating, and friendly staff.

Good Things: Suite was good-looking, expansive, comfortable and well furnished. Staff onsite were friendly and helpful. Well located downtown with easy onsite free parking. Bad Things: When we booked the hotel reservation person assured us the wet and dry saunas were working as well as the hot tub and pool. When we checked in we found the saunas had been out of order for some time and the outside hot tub was warm, but too filthy to use. Also, the hotel and suite smelled of bathroom disinfectant. Disappointing because the hotel was otherwise very charming.

Coffee Shop, Bakery and Great Restaurants all walkable. Friendly Staff and Always people enjoying themselves at the Juliet !!

I usually stay at the Juliet while in Lafayette, always have had a good stay. The hotel is older and could use some updates, but the location is awesome and so convenient if you are doing things on ULL campus or hanging out downtown. Easy walk down Jefferson to lots of fun places.

Wonderful one night stay. I will be back. The Juliet is a beautiful and convenient place to stay in downtown Lafayette LA, a thriving entertainment area. There are many great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Free parking is available.

-Cooked to order breakfast advertised is not available -Coffee table leg needs fixed -Shower head needs replaced -Shower curtain needs to be longer to keep water from wetting floor making it slippery -Need somewhere to put soap and shampoo in shower and tub -Need soap dish on sink -Need to use toilet brush and cleaner to clean under rim of toilet to get rid of black mold -Coffee table sticky -Need to clean couch -Need to clean stuff under couch and under couch cushions -Need 2 luggage stands -Need another nightstand -Need a microwave stand -Bedroom tv needs to be higher up -Need security/front desk person at night 7 pm-10 am. Unguarded facility.

On the outside it’s lovely, the upstairs lobby is nice. The room itself had a ceiling fan- which we were super excited about until we realized it didn’t work. The bed was comfortable, but it’s obvious that only the bare minimum of cleaning is done throughout the hotel, and room. The walls had stains, as well as the ceiling, the elevators had weird stains or something splattered on the walls, as well as a gross smell. We saw the following morning that the window had a huge crack in it. The downstairs restroom looked similar to a gas station restroom with a dead roach under the sink. Basically the only upside for a roughy $140 dollar room is the location. It will stay on my list of “only stay as an absolute last resort” of places in Lafayette.

Overall, the hotel was very nice. Inside it was like stepping back 100 years, which was neat. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. Had some nice places to sit, and the bathroom was large. My only complaint if you want to call it that, is that the tub and toilet had stains in them that I don't believe could come out. So it just made you feel it it was less than clean. After staying in new orleans, it was really nice to have a hotel where the parking was just a natural part of a stay at hotel, no charge. Their parking lot was right on the property as well. Great proximity to the Cajundome. There is a tiny unmaintained pool in the courtyard that truly should come out. They could make use of the space for seating for guests or something, but that's about it.
