Holiday Inn Express Brooklyn, an IHG Hotel

Positives - Price, convenient location, Helpful, efficient staff, Better than average breakfast, Negatives - Dresser draws would not close, wallpaper chipped, Union Street needs more gentrification

Cleaning of room was terrible. Didn’t empty trash for two days. We had to ask for clean towels three of the fours we were there.

Great Rooms - Terrible Elevator

Booked the wrong Holiday Inn in Brooklyn (this one), tried to cancel the reservation 30 minutes later once I rebooked with the correct one (1200 Broadway Avenue) and realized my mistake. Manager wasn't in so they couldn't cancel it at the time, but just was notified a day later they won't be refunding me. Pretty shocked by the poor service since I followed up quickly after making the bad reservation.

Great location, quick and efficient check in/out, No frills, but a great value

They only had one elevator available in the building and it was broken during my entire stay. I was told that it would've been up and running again within a day when I had first checked in, but that never happened. The stairways was full of trash and also housekeeping wasn't able to come up often and clean because of the broken elevator. The room was decent, but the bathroom smelled very mildewy

Beds and bedding and pillows were comfortable and clean, in-room coffee was nice. Towels were fine. Carpet was old and dingy. Breakfast was good. Elevator was AWFUL. Lots of time was spent waiting for the elevator.

I did not like the property besides the turkey sausage. Small, smelly and muggy. Let’s not forget OVERPRICED. I will never stay here again

Good value property. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on a 5 day trip to NY, and because I was out most of the day, this was a convenient and comfortable room to come back to. Clean, good breakfast, convenient location
