South Lawn Hotel

We booked this hotel as we loved the idea that they accept dogs. To be honest, I didnt have very high expectations, in fact, I had mentioned to friends that I guess it might not be that great but at least we could take our dog. The location looked good on the map and looked within striking distance of the things we wanted to do. Once we arrived at the hotel I realised quite quickly that my " it might not be that great" was very much incorrect! We were greeted with a very warm welcome, they even asked for our dogs' name, and gave her a 'party bag' consisting of a ball, treats, poo bags etc. We then went to our room.... What a lovely surprise. It was large, had recently been decorated with a new carpet too. It was very clean throughout the room and the hotel. Another surprise was the paddock that is to the rear of the property that the dogs can use off lead. Everyone we came into contact there was so helpful and cheerful, from the staff in reception, to the decorators, cleaners. We also booked the restaurant for the first night, which was great. Breakfast there was gorgeous, dog bowls for the finest tap water is supplied and a cheeky sausage, if your canine is allowed. Another nice touch was they included our dogs name on the breakfast booking. Before we left the hotel we had already decided we were coming back, we were so very impressed. We spoke to several other customers, all of them were repeat customers, whether they had bought their dogs this time, or not...couldn't praise this hotel enough. Lots of lovely small gestures made this a truly wonderful time for all of us. Well done to all the staff who really do such an amazing job of giving all the humans and fluff balls a fabulous time there.

Just got back from an enjoyable 2 day break at South Lawn Hotel. We stayed in a King room this time, with a nice big comfortable bed with walk in shower. The room was comfortably furnished and included aTV, fridge, tea & coffee facilities etc. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. I'm not keen on Greenking beers (but that's my preference), so chose to drink bottled cider or gins, of which there was a reasonable choice and Fevertree Tonic too. The food in the restaurant was excellent and we all had clean plates after each meal.

Wonderful stay, my partner, dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, spotlessly clean, staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Will definitely be visiting again

We've been staying at South Lawns Hotel for some years and over that time have always enjoyed great accommodation and service. Overall the hotel is very clean, comfortable with all staff friendly and professional. We already look forward to our next stay later this year.

The hotel is central for the New Forest and all the villages and not too far from the coast too. The hotel is really comfortable and the breakfast was very relaxed and excellent. The staff are really good and very polite and friendly . Would definitely return

Another perfect stay at this hotel. Such a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. This place is immaculate and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Food is amazing and service is perfect. Location is excellent for both the New Forest and beaches at Bournemouth, Poole, Swanage and Milford on Sea We will be back

Lovely country dog hotel . Friendly staff . Rooms are undergoing refurb we (me and my dog! 🐶) were placed in one of the new refurbished rooms: finished to a very good standard . There’s an outdoor dog paddock for the dogs to roam around and their restaurant you can dine in with your dog no need to leave them behind .Stayed for a night in January too . Short drive from Milford on the Sea , coast and cliff walks to stretch the legs ! Overall Highly recommend !
