Lovely surroundings and relatively modern mixed with historic styles. The restaurant was good and the food excellent. The staff were warm and friendly which helped offset the other issues.

Room was not up to the usual standard. Car park for bar was underneath the window and meant lots of noise filtered into the room. The fridge was short of refrigerant and gurgled incessantly disturbing my sleep. The room is in the attic and has a very small door to get into the room with a slanted ceiling inside.

Room was very spacious, giant bed which was really comfortable. Staff were very attentive and the evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Lovely walk around the grounds
