The Riverside House Hotel

Friendly staff on arrival. Lovely garden to relax in. Room was large however the stairs up to the room were a little steep but our choice to feel the burn in the legs after a 20 mile walk!

Nothing to dislike really, for the price it was absolutely fine.

The staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent breakfast with good choice for vegetarians. Good base for visiting Lakenheath and Lackford Lakes nature reserves.

The hotel bedrooms are clearly tired. The hotel has so much potential. Bedroom windows were filthy. Placing of furniture made it difficult to open the wardrobe on one side. Iron provided but no ironing board. Bathroom was clean but needed attention to shower head mount, grouting needed replacing. One the curtains was not attached to pulley and part off hooks allowing sun in defeating the point of black out curtains.

Breakfast and service was good. When I had a problem with my room the General Manager made a great effort to solve the problem and move me to a different room - great service and much appreciated!

Location, great selection of food for dinner. The breakfast was excellent.
