The staff was great, except check-in, abd the lone breakfast attendant. All throughout the stay the hotel remained extremely clean inside and out. The lobby area was very comfortable and welcoming allowing for a great area to visit with other attendees to graduation events. The location was wonderful and very close to the base as well as several great places to eat. Optional late check-out allows for enough time for graduates/new Marines to hygiene and change to civilian clothing prior to traveling. The hotel provided a very large amount of Island Times so event attendees could have multiple copies of the paper listing all graduates.

The room I booked was a king with no prior notification including during check-in the room I received was a double while it constitutes as an upgrade according to the chain its not. It takes away the designated seating area from the room. Not the fault of the hotel and well informed by signage there was no hot breakfast available due to a gas leak. However, during check-in this wasn't stated abd I only noticed the sinage in the morning when headed to breakfast. There was no compensation for the cost of breakfast however and I only had breakfast one morning out of three. Being a hotel in the Beaufort/Parris Island Marine Corps area advertised as a graduation friendly area I anticipated an early option for the attendees there wasn't any such option. Again no refund of breakfast cost that was paid for and not received. Lastly the outdoor pool was advertised as being open and wasn't, also not disclosed at check-in. Overall check-in was the most unpleasant experience. The breakfast attendant did originally get drinks however no refills or coffee top-offs were offered. Oddly she was very charismatic in her Christian beliefs and prayed with a couple tables while I was sitting there. It was honestly a bit off putting.
