Suncadia Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Residence

The resort property was very beautiful and full of amenities. The Lodge, where we stayed in a spacious one bedroom suite, had its own pool, hot tub, restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The fitness center was very well-equipped and spacious. A large pool, hot tubs, sauna and steam room were very nice…lots of little kids and families when we were there. We ate at both restaurants; good food, fair portions, and friendly service. The onsite winery was a big hit and highly recommended. The grounds of the resort have many trails and are beautiful! Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful place to visit. The food was terrific and beautiful facilities. They do charge for everything and it is costly. Definitely visit again just a longer trip than a weekend there is a lot to do on this property.

If you want to cook during summer book here you'll sweat your ass off

My husband and I were so excited for a relaxing Fourth of July weekend at Suncadia—but unfortunately, this ended up being one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had. I’ve never left a negative review before, but the condition of our room—and the lack of follow-through—warrant saying something. Check-in felt disorganized. The front desk associate was kind, but seemed unsure and didn’t explain much and seemed to be distracted by one of her co-workers who appeared to be drinking alcohol behind the desk. Our room was NOT clean: grass debris and plastic on the floor, hair in the shower, missing toiletries and a general sense that only the sheets and towels had been changed. A kind housekeeping staff member came, quickly vacuumed and apologized, saying she had submitted a request for a deep clean the next day. We attempted to order room service several times over 90 min with no answer and eventually had to go down in person to place the order. The next day, after being gone from 8am-3pm, we returned to find our room untouched. The front desk told us housekeeping must be scheduled in advance—something that was never mentioned at check-in and was also surprising considering the housekeeping staff member the night before said she submitted a request. We were also told a manager would be reaching out about the issues. No one ever contacted us. For over $1,400 for two nights, basic expectations like a clean room and functioning guest services should be met.

The grounds and the views are breathtaking.

For the price felt like the staff was not very friendly or helpful. It is a big property and overwhelming where everything is but even when you ask questions felt like you were bothering the staff . Saw a lot of two people staff members standing together talking but not helping anybody like they didnt want to be there. Was expecting more friendly And to bw more pampered for the cost. No signs for pool towels etc. Had to figure out everything yourswlf

I stayed in a room without a view and it was still a gorgeous view of woods. Loved my stay!

Beautiful place for romantic tranquility and superb service.

Don’t expect to be able to speak to a person working there for any reason whatsoever. Think recorded messages to self serve when calling reception. Understaffed, large and impersonal, long wait times at restaurants (mediocre and overpriced) but gorgeous views from main lodge.
