Ela Excellence Resort Belek

Heavenly place. The hospitality here is beyond exceptional. Welcomed us and the kids warmly. The staff are all amazing starting from our Arabic assistants Tamara & Mehtab, also Tayfun, they all kept communication on point. Kids Club was another great place the children never wanted to leave there. The food selection and quality is excellent, Khalil always welcomed us when we arrived. The spa, I was with Fatimah and she took good care of me. There was also professional photographers on site, we worked with an Arabic speaking photographer for family pics, he was amazing. Finally, check-out went smoothly and on time.

Check-in took some time. At the kids club., i wished there were Arabic speaking caregivers, and an Arabic Teddy book. Some areas could use better a/c like the 24/7 restaurant. At the aqua slides, there were not enough sliding donuts especially the double type, and most guests seemed greedy and not giving turns.

Lots of fun activities for kids of all ages. The grounds are beautifully designed and safe for children. Everything was clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. We were added to a 24/7 WhatsApp chat where designated team members promptly answered questions and handled request. This made everything so easy and stress-free. Honestly, I can’t praise the team enough. I’ve stayed in several similar-level hotels in Belek, but I’ve never experienced such a genuinely warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff truly seemed to care about the guests and enjoy their work, which made a big difference. The whole place feels green, peaceful and well looked after. We were also pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the puddings , they were actually delicious! Cocktails were much better than what you typically get in Turkish hotels and whoever is in charge of the wine selection clearly knows what they’re doing, although made in Turkey, the wines on offer were genuinely enjoyable. The overall atmosphere among the guests was also very pleasant, most people were polite and respectful, and the children were generally well-behaved, which made shared spaces like the pool and dining areas more enjoyable. There were few exceptions of course but thankfully it didn’t ruin the experience. We’d definitely like to come back.

A few minor points: our room didn’t have a bath, which can be inconvenient when traveling with kids. To their credit, the staff responded quickly and brought us a baby bath. The bed setup was two queen-sized beds pushed together rather than a true king, but the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Our room had a tiny terrace without sun loungers, but the view of the mountains was beautiful and the room had excellent noise isolation even with one of the a la carte restaurants right below, we slept well on busy nights. With the windows open, we could smell some cooking smoke from the restaurant but once the windows were closed there were no issues at all. The pier area was a bit oddly designed. We personally would’ve preferred more seating with sea views instead of sun loungers, but that’s just a matter of taste.

The swimming pools are actually cold, the food at hayat restaurant was not that wow

Would not recommend - food was poor, hotel was over crowded, staff were rude and there was thumping music until the early hours.

we enjoyed the beach and the kids club, the swimming pools were clean, but water was a bit cold. however, the outdoor facilities were really nice

There are a lot of things we liked in Ela. -Kids club, shows, and entertainment is perfect. Everything is for kids - kids get teddy bear toy upon arrival, get their own bathrobe and slippers in the room, present and ballons for birthday. My kid was happy. -A la carte restaurants - AMAZING. Unfortunately we could visit only Mexican and "la sofa" as they are almost always busy, and you have to book in advance. Galata restaurant during the day offer a lunch with fish and sushi - we enjoyed it. -I’d like to highlight the staff at the La Sofa restaurant, and at the Galata, as well as the girls working in the main restaurant. They do their job really well and deserve special mention. -The manager who’s on duty during lunch at La Sofa genuinely cares about everything — overseeing the service, resolving issues, and making sure everything runs smoothly. That’s impressive. -SPA - hamam, sauna, pool - no crowded, really relaxing

-Almost no seafood in the main restaurant. Occasionally there was grilled octopus, and I only saw prawns once. For a hotel of this level, that’s quite surprising. -Prices in the hotel shops — I bought Strepsils for £17! Does hotel management actually monitor this? A small plastic pool toy cost €70. Items aren’t labeled with prices, which makes it feel like prices are made up on the spot. Even if that’s not the case, it leaves a very unpleasant impression. -The "Ela Assistant" service was useless. Maybe our assistant was hoping for a tips, but since we had no cash upon arrival, he chose to ignore us and didn’t help at all. -

Landscaping, size, pools and slides

Low number of sun beds, it’s always a struggle to find one on pools and beach. Also, the food was good, but not great, the variety was good but the quality and taste was average. Eggs on multiple days were overcooked and burned from the bottom. Service during meals time wasn’t as expected, it was slow and we almost always had language barriers as not all staff clearly understand English.
