Hard Days Night Hotel

Just come back from a nights stay , unfortunately rooms are freezing no heating working and the rooms are far to noisy so got no sleep at all .

amazing hotel got upgraded when we arrived. we was shocked next morning the reception remember it was my partner birthday

Great central hotel. Staff were very accommodating and very clean rooms. Will definitely come back again in the future

Booked a deluxe room with a balcony and city view. The location was perfect, but don’t expect to receive everything advertised. The photos didn’t match what we actually got, and the room was smaller than expected. We also didn’t receive the welcome drink or chocolates. When we mentioned this to reception, we were ignored. Overall, quite disappointing.

Check in was the longest i have had, 1 person checking in at prime check in time 3pm who looked harassed and barely looked up they was so busy, really needs at least 2 checking in as not fair to frustrated paying guests or to staff. Once eventually checked in got to room on 5 floor. Room was cold and dark, view of a wall, with corridor large ceiling panel completely open, no workmen up there at all during stay, kept looking up incase vermen dropped out, dont expect that in a 4* hotel. Breakfast looked dried and basic and did not look appealing so had coffee and went outside for breakfast. Didnt eat there otherwise. Sorry i didnt look at reviews first as many are about poor breakfast and hotel. Lounge looks like a grotty pub, terrible old bulky tables everywhere and unwelcoming at one point my chair backed onto another chair so impossible to sit down, really looked the pits. I was confused about what it was and shocked it was a lounge. Bar was cold and no atmosphere so left. Very odd hotel and would not return. Still, location is good to shops and christmas market atmosphere was very good and fun with all the stalls, food options and drink.

Arrived at the hotel freezing and wet from being outside shopping. Went to our room to find it absolutely freezing. The heating is broken throughout the rooms in the hotel which they failed to tell anybody upon checking in. The woman on reception told us if we set the dial more than 23 degrees it cuts off. Which was a lie. She told us to put it to 23 for 20 mins and the room would warm up. LIES. She then came up with 2 small heaters. The coldness was so bad. In December and us already registered disabled with being immunocompromised, we needed heat. We couldn’t take this any longer and asked our travel company to move us to another hotel with heating! I think they should of informed us about the heating on checkin. Looking at other reviews it seems to have been broken for more than a week. Really disappointed in our experience at the hotel as we have been a regular customer. We wont be returning.

Terrible stay, we had a large luxury room at the front of the hotel on the first floor which was a massive mistake you hear everything, even a dustcart at 4am collecting commercial waste from the shops opersite you hear the lot, the hotel also has a problem with it’s heating not working our luxury room had a small electric heater to keep the chill off, bathroom sink didn’t have a plug in it which isn’t what you would expect from a luxury room ! On to the breakfast buffet ! It’s awful, food served undercooked and overcooked absolutely awful, the only thing that amazed me about the breakfast was how anybody in the hospitality industry thinks it’s good enough?

If you are looking for a central location, stay here. In the hub of all on your list to explore. Restaurants, shopping and music bars are out your front door. The staff was pleasant , fun bar with music, room was quiet , clean and comfortable. Eco friendly, love our stay.

Excellent location just on the corner of Mathew St. Large comfortable room, really good shower. I have a small mobility scooter which the let me leave in reception but I could have taken up to the room if I wanted to. The room was very clean & bed comfy. It had tea, coffee etc. We like the hotel bar & prices reasonable for a city hotel. Not much noise, just a few seagulls but wasn't that noisy. The staff were all really helpful to. We would definitely stay again when we come back to Liverpool.

The staff was really helpful and welcoming. It's such a shame because this hotel has so much potential, but I guess they know it's enough to have the Beatles thing going to fool in tourists like myself in there. The rooms are pretty worn out and I used the worst hair dryer I've used in probably the last decade, it was a joke really. My hair is easy to dry but can't imagine what it's like for people who have a hard time drying their hair as is. On the same note, the shower was one of those only big overhead ones and there were no shower caps provided so your hair definitely will get wet in the shower if it's up to this hotel. When we woke up in the morning, it was really cold in the room and we learned it was because the heating wasn't working. It was on one of the coldest nights of the year so far so it's the worst time to have the heating break down. They brought those tiny little heaters and it did warm up our room, but it was really a shame since we only stayed for one night. The windows are also really thin so you will hear all the noise from outside throughout the night. I can't imagine what it must be like during the weekend since it was bad enough on a week night.
