Hard Days Night Hotel

So let me be clear, we were so looking forward to our stay at the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool as it was very central to everything and obviously has a Beatles theme which was one of the main reasons for us to stop in Liverpool. We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel and what a complete let down. This advertises itself as a 4 star hotel, and having stayed in many 4 star hotels across the world I can honestly say this would be lucky to reach 3 stars. Lets start with the staff attitudes. We found the check in/out staff to be totally disinterested in us. When checking out the chap did not even bother asking if we had had a nice stay - maybe he knew the answer. The breakfast is a disgrace. The staff, again, were disinterested and not at all attentive to anything to the point on one morning we asked if there was any jam for our toast. The chap looked at us and then said he would get some. We went to our table and saw him return with the jam and place it on the serving table. He did not look for us, did not say the jam had arrived, did not put a pat of jam on a plate and bring it over, he just kept walking. The bowl I used for cereal was chipped on the rim, the glass I obtained from the servery had a tray on top that should have been taken off so patrons could access the glasses. A team member was standing right there, saw me lift the tray to access a glass and did not bother to take the tray away. The hot food options are the WORST that I have ever had. The fried egg has so hard it was inedible. The bacon had globules of white fat on it and the sausage was cold and fatty. The area that they store the croissants and pastries was dirty and unkept. The plates were unclean and the cups were dirty. Our room that we were given had a very unpleasant odour. Unable to identify it, but it was either staleness, smoke or cabbage - at any rate it was very unpleasant. We asked reception to see if they could rectify this on the first day and they promised to send housekeeping. The smell endured for the full time we were there. Oh, and there were no drinking glasses in our room. What 4 star hotel doesn't provide drinking glasses? Apart from that, the room was small, meaning there was limited room to open suitcases. Instead of the being one of the highlights of our trip, this hotel experience was one of the low points. This is a 3 star hotel at best. I would never stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay there immensely. Staff throughout the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. Always happy to help. Great location for Mathew Street, The Cavern, and close to shopping, restaurants and bars. Easy walk from the station - couldn't be better. Excellent choice of breakfast each day. Ate at the restaurant, in the evening, and good choice on the menu and lovely food.

A great stay in a lovely hotel. Located conveniently to enjoy everything Liverpool has to offer. The reservation administration team were outstanding. Our room was amazing (John Lennon Suite) and despite a busy itinerary we were able to fit in a few drinks at the bar, where the staff were friendly and mixed great cocktails. Breakfast facilities a little disappointing but were perfectly acceptable.

Staff was excellent; amenities were appreciated; breakfast was surprisingly good. The only disappointment was a very limited dinner menu in the restaurant on Sunday evening but we made it work. If you want the best location this is the hotel for you.

The hotel was perfect for a night out & ideally located for restaurants & bars. All the staff were very polite & friendly. My room was great with a comfy bed and very clean. Id have no problem booking this hotel in the future as in my opinion it was great value for money. Side note... the noise from outside in the evening/night may be an issue for some, but what would you expect in the centre of a very lively city.😀

A good hotel. I am pleased I stayed there. It is in a great location just around the corner from the loud madness of Mathew Street if you want it. It ticked the boxes for me for what I wanted. I would stay there again no problem.

Stayed in Liverpool for a concert. Hard Days Night Hotel was a lovely hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were clean and nice. Location was excellent, very close to Liverpool One.

We stayed at this hotel for my daughter's birthday whilst travelling through the UK as she is a huge Beatles fan and we weren't disappointed. Fantastic experience for anyone that loves music and the Beatles. Great memorabilia throughout the hotel and in the rooms. Great location right next to The Cavern Club. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Quick and easy check-in and check out. Hotel in a brilliant location, short walk to wherever you want to be. 10-15mins from the station, round the corner from the cavern club and shops and 10-15mins from the Albert dock. Room was spacious and spotless . Walk in shower a treat. We loved the balcony, we were lucky with the weather on the first night so sat out and enjoyed the view. It rained the rest of the evenings so we didn't make the most of it unfortunately. Bed was really comfortable, we slept very well. Balcony door was a bit stiff, I had to get someone to open it as I couldn't manage it. We had an evening meal at N64, staff were lovely and the food wás very nice. I had the half chicken and my husband had the fish and chips, portion size big and prices very reasonable. We also went into the bar one night where there was live music, the singer was excellent and it was a very chilled vibe. We would have stayed in there longer but we were both tired. Good selection of drinks and prices again very reasonable. Bar staff were really nice. I would definitely stay again .
