Misty Hills Country Hotel

We arrived early and disappointingly couldn't check in before the stipulated time. There was no place to leave luggage so we left it in the car and went to get some drinks and food. The Hotel is cashless(we didn't know this) so have to pay with some sort of card so be prepared. If we had of checked in we could have signed to th room that I had already paid for but since no key no room signing. While waiting I asked form the wifi access but it didn't work anywhere in the hotel. Eventually we got keys and went to the room. No one carried our bags and we had to walk up hill lugging everything ourselves. Then ook itself smelt like the previous guest had been ill and it had been wiped up with a dirty cloth. We tried to air the room but it didn't work and we only had 1 hour to get ready for the wedding we were attending so left it. The taps in the basin and shower were terrible, too close to the wall so you couldnt put your hands under them to wash. Had to fill a basin to wash hands. In the middle of summer the room was hot and there was no fan or aircon either. Fortunately we were only in the room for 4 hours after the wedding and then had to check out to return early the next morning. A longer stay would have been terrible. Did I mention the empty mini bar?

We only spent one night but it was a lovely getaway. I love that it's only 35 minutes from Jo'burg, and the layout of the lodge was beautiful, whit lots of greenery and water features. The room was comfortable though not luxury, and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Every thing is perfect. Pool is nice. It's just a pity that we can hear the road. We advise it.

Very unique hotel set in a wonderful botanical garden! Was raining so a bit tricky getting from car to room to dining areas! But a great stay.

Markers bit confusing. Initial welcome not good, but staff very friendly. Will visit again. Loved food and spa.

Simply amazing, the location is perfect, tranquil, private and friendly staff. I am concerned about Carnivores the Resturant, I felt a little rushed. We went out to the terrace and when We returned to our table, it was given to other patrons. We obviously left, maybe We should have left without paying. When we did leave there was confusion at the front desk and our waiter was no-where to be found, after asking various people for assistance to pay bill.

this was a beatiful getaway place for me, the place is beautiful and being a botanical garden the rooms were clean,the staff were friendly,the quality of the place exceeded my expectation,the amenities "wow" keep the good work up.

We enjoy our stay at Misty Hills country Hotel, very friendly staff, great location, clean swimming pool, great breakfast.
