Holiday Inn Express Texas City, an IHG Hotel

Customer service was excellent the people at the front desk were very kind. The property is showing some age in the bathrooms with some rust and water damage.

I had real high hopes for this Holiday Inn Express but was left disappointed. First off, the front desk staff was amazing, very welcoming! Won’t complain about them at all! The room however was less than desirable. First of all the carpets were dirty. Second, the bathroom was very outdated. Thirdly and most importantly, my husband was chewed all up. Twelve days later still has the marks on his body. We almost left to find another hotel, wish we had. I regret to say, we won’t return.

The front desk people were very nice

Not sure why this hotel had good ratings because it was pretty awful. The room stunk like roaches and the bed skirt was nasty. The doors were hung crooked. Fred was nice when we checked in but some of the other staff not so much. It was a busy weekend and the one person preparing breakfast had a hard time keeping up.

The staff was great and friendly. The entire hotel smells musty. As soon as you walked in the front doors you could smell it. Our room smelled the same and felt humid. We were only there for one night so we stayed. I fortunately brought odor illuminating spray so it was tolerable.

The elevators takes too long are really slow. Beakfast wasn't what I expected. Bad breakfast.

This is always our go-to for the night before a cruise. They always take care of us!

Fred at check in service was on point and friendly. Helped with breakfast time,elevator and parking. Breakfast was hot and fresh with options to choose from. Bed was a little too hard for myself. Will be back again

Staff very friendly gave great recommendations to a restaurant, room was clean shower area was clean. Thanks for the Hospitality.

They didn’t give my deposit money back for no reason.
