Holiday Inn Express & Suites West by IHG

Elevators broken. Reserved king bed given 2 doubles. Sent to cold dirty stairwell to pack my luggage up to my room

During check in we were told the only available room they had was on the 4th floor and the elevator was out! What if we weren't able to clumb 4 flights of stairs with luggage. Once we made it up there it wasn't the King suite we were charged for. Front desk said it's all they have.The room was ok but could use major updating. This stay was for our 13th wedding anniversary and we were hoping for luck one. Unfortunately, it was the opposite. In the end we didnt get a refund or the difference in what we paid for and what we got.

No maid service other than they did come into our room the last night and take our towels but didn’t bother to leave any, open the shades and turn off AC. Never did anything with bed at all,

Booked a room for a Dr appt at the Spine Institute of Louisiana. Nonrefundable rate which is fine. BUT! Get there and the damn elevators are inoperaable. No 1st floor rooms. So I get to hobble my broken @$$ up a staircase with a bag. Dinner time. Guess what? I get to hobble my broken @$$ down and back up that same same stairwell again. In the morning when I leave to go find out if I need a hip replacement or not guess what i have to do? Hobble my broken @$$ back down those stairs. Being a dedicated memeber of IHG for all of these years and I have noticed a trend in my last few stays. They want all of my money and provide NONE of the product they did before. The room was dated and smelled terrible. Window to the outside wouldnt close but since on 2nd floor not breakin worry but filled the crack with toilet paper and turned heat up as it was cold outside. Absolutely terrible experience. Stay away from this property.

Horrible service at checkin. We booked two double bed rooms directly on the website. The rooms they put us in had one king and a pullout couch. Cancellation did not guarantee repayment as we would have to wait for the manager in the morning. Then she tells us the elevator is down and we are on the 4th floor. No “my apologies, sorry for the inconvenience,” just “I can cancel” and excuses with no refund. This is a business trip. What if we had someone who couldn’t climb stairs? Zero notification ahead of time. Rude employee.

We were charged for a third person but only had 2 towels. Was told they did not have any more towels. Toilet barely flushed, water kept running. Towel rack was lose on the door. Room not “holiday in clean.”Staff were not friendly. Al in all just an ok stay.

Excellent customer service and great breakfast setup.

When we checked in, the front staff was super friendly!! Everyone was kind and helpful! The following morning, the breakfast staff even offered to pack us to-go bags for the rest of our drive!! Everyone went above and beyond!!

The doors to the suites need painting badly, the carpets were not clean. When you opened the light to the bathroom, a very noisy fan turns on, there was only one switch for both the light and fan. The internet is very bad, you can not do any work on your laptop.
