Dreams Playa Bonita Panama - All Inclusive

This resort was a major disappointment from the moment I arrived. The hallways and elevators were dirty and clearly not well maintained. To make matters worse, there were raccoons on-site while walking through the hallways — completely unacceptable for any resort. When I finally got to my room, there were no face towels provided. The pool closed early each night, and there were no real activities or entertainment options to enjoy. My friends had to wait over three hours for their room, and when they finally got it, it still wasn’t ready or properly cleaned. For the price, I’ve stayed at much better resorts. I will never stay here again and absolutely would not recommend it to anyone looking for a clean or enjoyable vacation experience.

We have an annual girls trip and have stayed at Dreams locations previously. This review is based solely on our experience. Rooms: Upon check-in, our room was not ready, as we requested a double bed room through our checkout with Delta Vacations, but they did accommodate us and gave us a double room. Unfortunately, it was not ready at that time, so our group went to eat by the pool and started on drinks. After about 2 hours, we came back to get our keys, and our room was still not ready. After waiting an additional 10 minutes our room was "ready". When we got to the room, it smelled of mildew, the light fixture fell out of the wall when I turned it on, there was an exposed screw pointing out of the bathroom door, the fridge was filthy and had not been restocked. I went next door while my roommate called the front desk to have them change our room, and inspected my friends room. There was mildew and mold covering her bathroom wall. She tried to call the front desk and they would not answer. After making a trip downstairs, we spoke with a manager and they rectified the situation within 20 minutes or so. You can tell the rooms they initially put us in had not been used in a while! The new rooms were still not 100% to our liking, but we made do with what we were given. After meeting up with all of our friends, we found out just about everyone's room had some type of mold or mildew in it. Disgusting. Food: The breakfast was pretty decent, typical breakfast food so no complaints. The lunch options were hit or miss. Dinner options were tasteless and not good. We ate off property most nights to avoid it. Property: Very nice property, no complaints of visual aspects of outside. There are a lot of bees so beware. I didn't see or hear of anyone getting stung. Drinks: Pretty decent depending on your bartender. Customer service: No real complaints, I believe everyone handled everything at the appropriate level. Overall summary: Would definitely not stay here again. Hotel needs MAJOR upgrades to the rooms!

Zanchalino is the best! Made us feel right at home. We will be back to Panama. Such a beautiful place. The views, the food, the music, perfect.

Our group was a little nervous before arriving after reading some of the mixed reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. While the rooms are a bit dated, they were clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The resort overall is in very good condition, and the grounds are absolutely immaculate. Breakfast was delicious, though the other dining options could use a bit more variety and flavor. Despite that, we truly enjoyed our stay and found the atmosphere relaxing and welcoming. Overall, Dreams Playa Bonita exceeded our expectations and provided a really good experience for our group. I’d definitely recommend and would return.

I do not know what resort some of these reviewers are used to. It must be Sandals. Because I've had horrible experiences, but this one was really really good. These reviews almost made me not book, but I'm the type that likes to see for myself. And I'm so glad I did. Let me start with the only two cons I have. One, my shower door wouldn't stay closed all the way. And I think they knew the room I was in because they provided a mat, so it wasn't even a huge deal. Second, would be the liquor options. I paid for Preferred and I'm a Hennessy girl, so I was good. But if you like tequila, they only have 1800 as the highest quality. If you want Casamigos, Don Julio etc, bring your own bottle. They do not have it. Food 8/10. I believe all the restaurants were open this time. The cleanliness of my room & the grounds 9/10. The friendless of the staff? 10/10! Eric & Alexandra were so helpful and sweet. Not to be dramatic but they are apart of the reason I'll be booking again. The beach was beautiful to me because I'm used to "dirty Myrtle" lol but the shore is kinda far off from the water. If you want a more tropical, blue beach, I recommend taking the ferry to Taboga. That is the only excursion I did besides a cooking class, so I can't speak too much on excursions. I will definitely be returning & this time I will probably be staying a little longer. The resort was cool, but definitely more laid-back — feels like it’s for the grown and mature crowd. If you’re in your 20s or early 30s and looking to party, explore, and catch some energy, this might not be your vibe. It’s more about relaxing, recharging, and taking it easy. Still, I loved my stay — it showed me a different side of vacation life. Sometimes it’s good to slow down and just chill.

Zanches was the best bartender! He even done a cool video and TikTok video for us. Drinks were doubles and the service was fast and excellent! Very pleased with this birthday trip. Definitely coming back with the girls next time.

Beautiful area, not hard to get back into the city. We stayed a whole week. The good: staff was friendly even with somewhat of a language barrier. Room was nice, the balcony was used a lot. Beach was ok The bad: beach was under construction and dirty (trash floating in), the fire alarm on our floor would randomly go off (seems like they did fix this) staff was pleasant but requesting room service i.e extra towels or food took an hour minimum bathroom could have been cleaner. The food was subpar at best in all the restaurants on property. Special shout out to Edward at the baracuda bar he made the best drinks and always had a smile he made our days at the pool or the beach with his excellent service!!

Overall experience was good. Nobody hardly speaks much English and it’s hard to let them know what you need. Had a bit of trouble with items needed for the room which mad several of people in our group have to keep asking for additional items. The room was ok, bathroom and beds are very clean. Location was great on the beach. Food and the restaurants are good. Also they need to let people that are preferred guest aware of the premium bar when they check in. Overall the experience was good.. Roz D.

Came here on our honeymoon! The resort was excellent and Edward will take care of you at the swim-up bar! Alexandra was great customer service.
