Hidden Valley Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort

The location was lovely. Swimming pools were enjoyable.

Dirty room upon arrival. Room we were moved into had broken balcony doors. Promised a good balcony view and paid extra, but got a view of a car park. Breakfast was sub par and used paper and plastic plates and utensils.

Very outdated. Lakefront room is looking at trees and grass. Can barely see the lake. No elevator so if your on anything other than 2nd floor you have to carry your bags. Outside area not looked after. Never trimmed. A total ripoff for the money you get charged per night

I did not buy the breakfast. The location was mediocre for what you actually pay.

Didn't like missing a whole day by checking in at 4pm and both pools closing at 9pm. Staff double charged me for my visit, adding a holding fee of $200.00 and a $289.27 fee that they were supposed to charge Booking.com with. When I inquired about the fees on my credit history the front desk staff unprofessional rushed me and didn't seemed too busy to care about the resorts error. Still waiting for further communication on the refunds..but no one has bothered to to email me or return my call. Way too much money for no value and getting ripped off is unacceptable! Will not return to this so called establishment and would never recommend it to anyone!

Rooms were decent and we love private beach (with free access to sports equipment) and access to pool. Charlean who was running kids activities was amazing and kids were excited and happy to participate. Its an older hotel, but overall we were happy with our stay.

Long wait time in restaurant. Waiters worked super hard and we appreciate them. ( Yet, We chose to eat out in the town for the rest of the stay).

Nice staff, everyone from the front desk, to the restaurant to the beach attendant and housekeeping were lovely.

No elevator so you have to carry your luggage down or up stairs if you aren’t on the second floor.

The property over all was good. The rooms were very out dated

On check-in, we were given a room with a shabby little patio with a brick wall and a fence, no view, grass that was 2 feet high, cigarette butts on the floor, a ratty air-conditioner vent right outside the door. There is only 1 dirty chair. This for $310 / night. The restaurant is only open for short windows, There is no snack bar. Not the resort ambience that was expected.

0% Recommend. If you are thinking of staying here, please look elsewhere. The room was highly unhygienic. The bathroom shower was full of mold and mildew, the drain looked as though it had never been cleaned out, the toilet had permanent stains inside. The toilet base was rusted and black around the edges. The grout on the floor was filthy. The mirror hadn’t been cleaned. We had to go get cleaning supplies just so we could disinfect the bathroom and all surfaces in the room. Even with that we still wore sandals in the shower to bathe. There were wall appliances moved in the bathroom and they didn’t bother to fill in holes or repaint, the furniture was ripped, there were stains on the lampshade, water damage on the ceiling and a large rip in the curtain. The light switch at the front door was black with dirt from finger prints along with every door edge. The grounds are unkept and everything was run down. What you see on the website photos is not what you get. Please do your due diligence and move past any of the few good reviews to get to the ones that consistently talk about many of the things I have brought up here. We left and booked a room at a different resort for our last night where the reputation could not be questioned. I have never stayed in a hotel or motel for that matter that was as filthy as this was.

Amazing location

My sister and I booked a two-day getaway at Hidden Valley Resort, arriving on Saturday, June 7th, and departing on Monday, June 9th. While the resort itself was pleasant and the staff we interacted with were friendly, our overall experience was marred by significant issues with customer service and restaurant accessibility. Upon our arrival for the 4 PM check-in, we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. However, we encountered a major inconvenience on Sunday evening when we discovered that the hotel restaurant was closed due to a low number of guests. We were not informed of this closure in advance. Having already enjoyed some wine in our room, we were unable to drive to a local restaurant, and we had not packed any food, assuming the resort's restaurant would be available. We expressed our concerns about this situation, as well as some issues with our room, to the receptionist, Lana, upon our departure. She assured us that the Customer Service Manager would contact us to discuss our concerns further. Unfortunately, we did not receive any follow-up communication. My sister sent an email on Wednesday, June 11th, but still received no response. I called the resort on Friday, June 13th, and spoke with another receptionist who promised that the Customer Service Manager would get back to us that same day. As of today, Monday, June 16th, we have yet to hear back. The lack of response from the Customer Service Manager is extremely disappointing. We had hoped to r
