Hotel Villa Bianca Resort

We were led to believe on LastMinute.com that the hotel was 4 star. The old broken sign on front of the hotel still shows 4 stars, but the new sign above the bar outside shows 3! The main block seemed to be reserved for tour groups staying one or two nights. However we were allocated a room in the ‘annex’, behind and above the main block. 76 steps from the 5th (top) floor of the main building, and then to the top floor of the annex is a further 53 steps. After a week we were still not enjoying the exercise. WiFi was only available in the main lobby and in a small corner of the sun deck on the 5th floor. None at all in the annex. We used all our contracted mobile data and more! Room was fine although it had twin beds rather than the double requested. Fabulous views from the balcony looking out over the bay. Recently refitted bathroom with shower was good. But there were only 3 very soft pillows for the room, and housekeeping were unable to find more. The room safe was in the wardrobe but wasn’t fixed in. There was no refrigerator and no water provided, let alone a kettle and ‘makings’!

Vi fandt en kakerlak på værelset og blev flyttet til et andet værelse. Toiletbrættet sad ikke fast, afløbet i badet var tilstoppet og vandtrykket var for lavt til at kunne vaske hår. Bygningen bærer præg af at være gammel og slidt. Elevatoren virkede ikke - det virkede som en permanent ting. Morgenmaden var kedelig og dårligt tilbedredt. Hotellet har en god beliggenhed, men er bestemt ikke pengene værd.

Room is lovely no faults with that but multiple flights of stairs from one holding to the next to get to the reception / breakfast and Main Street? Absolutely not. If you want to go down the beach it’s another few flights aswell. When we asked to switch rooms to one in the main building with fewer steps they said they were fully booked. Feel as though our holiday has been ruined. We wanted to explore but doing them stairs every time we want to come back up to the room… exploring isn’t happening apparently. Ridiculous. Would not come to this hotel again, but would definitely come to this location.

The welcoming staff and location made this a perfect base for exploring Taormina. Close to the beaches like Isola Bell but also next door to the cable car that takes you right up into the old town! The staff were very accommodating in booking us taxi’s etc.

Ok hotell men ganska slitet och på vårt rum var mörkläggningsjalusit ur funktion och luftkonditioneringsaggregatet på utsidan väsnades extremt.

We liked the location, the cleanliness and the staff.

We had a rental car and that was difficult to park. The pool was at another location, which we were not expecting. There was not enough light in the rooms.

The hotel is very located and excellent in every way . Parking for your car is also good
