Marriott's Monarch at Sea Pines

We love the location, grounds, comfortable and spacious rooms. It is a great place to relax and to get five miles of walking in each day. Beach walking opportunities are exceptional!

Another fabulous MVC location. Very close to the beach. Quiet for the most part. Older location but the villas have been updated and the grounds maintained l. There was a problem with the fountain pump, but they had it repaired with in 10 minutes of us reporting the issue.

We got all our suitcases and supplies up to the room we found it had not been prepared for new tenants. However everything we needed to clean and make the beds was available in bags inside the door. When we reported this to the front desk they offered us $75 if we did it ourselves. We informed them that wasting our first night preparing the room was worth more than $75 and they could keep their money. Never heard from the GM, he does not work weekends. The room was disgusting. Terrible guest service.

I have owned a time share unit since 1980 which we have traded every year. We enjoy summer beach vacations and prefer resorts on the beach. Of the many resorts we have visited, this is one of the best. The staff was amazing. Professional, polite, well trained, friendly and quickly resolved any request.

staff was not helpful. could not look up my rewards account, could not extend a reservation. simply where warm bodies giving is a room key. property is dated and aged, needs updates

Checked in at reception and was told the room wouldn't be ready for 30 minutes or so. When we got to the room it had a very heavy smell of industrial cleaning products. After taking off my shoes, I discovered the origin of the cleaning smell. The carpet had obviously just been shampooed and was still wet. All three carpeted rooms, spare bedroom, master bedroom and living room were still wet. I went back to the front desk to explain the problem, and was told there were no other rooms available. They did offer to put an industrial fan in the room to help dry out the carpet. My wife and I went out for a couple of hours as the smell was pretty heavy. Unfortunately when we came back there was no change. Around 9 in the evening, someone came to the room and said that they needed to take the fan away. Overall a pretty terrible stay and an incredibly poor effort of the part of the Marriott to sort the problem.

King size bed was very uncomfortable and sloped from center to edge of bed. Shower had terrible water pressure. Grounds were beautiful. Great location
