Best Western London Ilford Hotel

Room in the main building was absolutely awful, room was infested with ants! Asked to move to a different room and was told by the security guy the hotel was fully booked that night and would have to wait for the hotel manager In the morning. Wasn’t until after I mentioned about wanting my money back and leaving to go to a different hotel that the we might be able to have someone else’s room who hasn’t turned up. Moved rooms about 3am and that room was infested with ants also!! So had to move again to another room in the building across from the main building. This room was ok NO ANTS, however, the toilet seat was broken, the shower was mounted nearly upright on the wall so the water was just going into the wall and unable to adjust it. Also you couldn’t adjust the shower water temperature, it was either cold or red hot, thus I ended up burning myself. Hotel has parking but there’s only a handful of spaces so lucky to ever get one. Had to pay a fortune to park on the street or risk getting a ticket. The beds are uncomfortable and noisy, you can feel every spring in the mattress! I suppose you get what you pay for and it is basic however I do not expect my rooms to have ants crawling all over the place so I Would not recommend this hotel! The only good thing about this hotel was the lovely girls on reception who were very welcoming and helpful, unfortunately I didn’t get their names.

Front desk was helpful in changing the room as it was smelly. It moved me to its sister property. The sister hotel was nice and staff was helpful there too

We had to leave hotel as soon as we saw the room. Very dirty, one small towel, bed was not prepped, one fan which had no front cover (how is that even in the room?!!!) i took all the pictures. Very congested room with tiny window, dirty carpet and WC. Shower place is unbelievably dirty, how can a hotel provide only a small hand towel for a stay??? Unbelievable and never ever in ly life time I would go back. We drove back home at midnight without staying there should say a lot. Worst experience in our lifetime. Also reception gave us key for room 60 but the slip says 62!!!

The staff were great, sadly the guests were not key workers. Couples, single mothers with children, my neighbour let someone in late at night banging doors, kept waking me up. I've been staffing in quite a few hotels during covid, and this was worst experience, the staff did not check my key worker status, so thats why so many leisure let in. I expect bettern from Best Western

Customer service has been just great! Staff especially at night time is super friendly 👌. The guys at the reception have always been there to help me out if there was anything I needed and always looking after me. Overall my stay was pleasant for 14 days . I definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for an affordable place where to stay ,the only downside was the WiFi didn’t work for long hours for three days . That I was expecting was gonna be sorted promptly which unfortunately it didn’t happen .

I told the receptionist that I don’t want to be disturbed until checkout time but cleaning staffs are knocking at my door at 9am and they are very noisy at the corridor the whole morning.

It's a OK place to stay at. Cheap and you get what you pay for. Just an average place. I recommend it if you want to stay somewhere cheap and your not to fussy.

Heater was not working , curtain was not closing , didn’t Like the service on counter also

I was told there was a security deposit but it was a holding payment and not taken from my account , however it was taken and reception couldnt tell me when i would get my deposit back

It’s a nice place to stay. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable and well organized. The breakfast was very basic and should be improved. Very near from bus stations, banks and a variety of restaurants. Overall I recommend this hotel for a short stay
