Polurrian on the Lizard

Great communication from booking to arrival. We were given a brief tour on arrival which was a nice touch. Fresh milk and a powerful hairdryer in the room was also a bonus. The bed was not to our liking, but the bedroom and bathroom were a good size and were clean and warm. We ate one dinner and two breakfasts in the restaurant. The food was good rather than excellent. The service was a little slow but it was half term so it was quite busy. The pool and hot tub are nice but you only get 30 minutes per day as part of your hotel booking, which we thought was very restrictive having paid extra for a spa hotel. The water was a good temperature and the showers and changing rooms were good. The hotel is in an excellent position for walking along the coast path and the views were spectacular!

We found it frustrating that the pool is booked throughout the day for swimming lessons and spa days meaning there are very limited slots available for hotel guests. Every meal has to be pre booked which isn’t relaxing for families who want to switch off from planning and routines. The restaurant is nice but expensive. The games room is limited, here isn’t a lot for children to do. Some very old beaten up board games in the bar area. The spa had no availability. We stayed during half term and I expected a lot more activities for kids. Why no screening nights for kids? A disappointing stay.

The food was excellent. The staff were polite, friendly & helpful. Beautiful location, right on the coastal path.

My husband and I were seeking a night away from the kids. We walked from Mullion cove to Poldhu cove before the storm came in. We had a sea view room, which was perfect. We watched the sun setting and then continued to do so in the conservatory bar. There was a relaxed atmosphere with an amazing selection of drinks and food. We were on a DBB basis and ate in the main restaurant. Delicious!! We had a swim and jacuzzi , which was fine for us. Breakfast was delicious too. Nice to see kippers on the menu. We had a fantastic time. Thanks for everything

Had our wedding here on the 20th October 2025. Such a beautiful venue with outstanding views. Would highly recommend to anyone considering this venue. The Vista lounge was such a lovely room for our ceremony. Everyone made our stay very special, and helped in any way they could to make our stay perfect. Special thanks have to got to Georgia and Jenna who made our wedding so special.

Fabulous FOH staff and property location. Very courteous and thoughtful. Lovely spa. Room very chilly but otherwise fine. Evening meal was terrible and chef clearly couldn’t care less.

We loved our stay for my husband's birthday, our Deluxe Sea View room was so beautiful, the gorgeous decor had muted tones that were perfectly in keeping with the incredible views. The hotel was a total vibe with a wonderful mix of subtle comfort and quirky decor. Staff were professional, warm and kind. Food was excellent, we used both the Vista Lounge and Restaurant. Amazing to have a beautiful sandy beach so nearby, we felt so lucky to find this very special place and would love to visit again.

Sadly not as good as our last visit a year ago. Location as stunning as always, food disappointing compared to last time.

Booked via Secret Escapes. Good value for money. Good communication from the hotel post booking. Lovely little doggy bag supplied with a few essentials in it. Was our anniversary and we received a card. Coffee and Tea facilities best we have come across. Overall staff very welcoming and happy to help. Hotel itself impressive and given age of property in good condition. Fantastic views and the nearby beach excellent for dogs

We are here for two nights this hotel is absolutely amazing the staff so friendly and welcoming the food the quality is exceptional the prices are very good our room is lovely great views I have stayed in some good hotels over the years and this hotel is up amongst the best in my opinion the views are to die for I totally recommend you stay here 100 💯
