"Lovely relaxed time"

10.0

From the off we had great service from all staff they all worked long hours and very hard. Food was ok always found something to eat rooms clean beach towels and safe are provided FOC if you require a new beach towel it costs 1 euro which is nothing. It was nice just to enjoy the relaxing time apart from sun beds going down early, being an adult only hotel could have allocated sun beds so didn’t have to get up. We have rebooked for next year as just what suits us. The entertainment wasn’t great but I don’t go for that or doing activities if you want that go to centre parks. Sun comfy beds clean room good bar staff helpful reception food good can’t ask no more.

"Excellent adults only hotel"

8.0

We stayed here for 10 nights and had a very enjoyable time. One or two quibbles in line with some other reviews but these are splitting hairs really. This is an excellent hotel at which to have a lovely holiday. Rooms are fairly spacious and comfortable and benefit from daily housekeeping if wanted. There is a sizeable dining room with a number of tables outside. There is a theme night each day of the week. Plenty of choice to keep everyone happy. One little quibble is sometimes some of the dishes weren’t labelled while others had gone cold to fully enjoy, a pity given the effort put into creating them. Waiting staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. We thought the dessert options were particularly good. There are a lot of sun beds but reserving sun beds is a thing and in particular if you want beds at the lower pool be down between 830 and 9 to secure them. There are a number of fun day time activities delivered by the fantastic Prince Ali and Princess Cassie. Water Polo, Water Volleyball, Water Fit activities as well as Archery, Cornhole and a number of others add to the fun. There is evening entertainment which varies day to day including live music and acrobatic shows. Friday night white night party was our favourite. A downside is at the pool bar and evening activities smoking is permitted amongst non smokers. Blame those smokers in who don’t recognise that when they smoke everyone around them does to. But maybe the hotel can have and enforce designated smoking areas. The hotel is a few minutes from the busy beach area. We took a trip to beautiful Porto Cristo on the 424 bus and visited the fabulous Caves of Drach. We also walked to Sa Coma another lovely coastal town. In summary Garden Hotel Cala Millor is a lovely place to have a holiday at.

"Not a 4 star experience"

6.0

Went here recently and although it is a reasonable hotel it’s not 4 star. We didn’t like the food, finding it very repetitive and lacking in variety. It appears to be very German orientated as were the guests when we were there and there were rarely cold meats available if you wanted a salad. Staff were very mixed with some struggling to want to serve you at the bar preferring to go into the back room to do a job while guests were queuing . The entertainment staff of Ali and Mimi were an exception to this and worked very hard . Unfortunately the visiting cabarets were mainly of a poor standard and some nights there was only a quiz as entertainment. Rooms were clean and well maintained as were the pools but why charge you a euro every time you wanted a clean pool towel? On balance there are probably better hotels in the area and we will not be revisiting

"A perfectly relaxing break"

8.0

Great location, near to lots of shops and restaurants and the fabulous beach. We arrived before 11.30am but were able to go straight to our room after check in with a glass of Cava, which was just perfect after an early start. Check out is at midday but we were allowed to use the all inclusive until we left at 2pm, an unexpected bonus and indicative of the excellent customer service at this hotel. Our room had a full length wardrobe with plenty of hangers and enough storage space for everything. Two single beds instead of the double we requested and the memory foam mattresses were a bit softer than we would like but overall not too bad. The aerator fitted to the tap was a bit of an issue as it took forever to wash soap off your hands. I understand the principle of trying to save water but it was problematic as was not having a functioning plug in the wash hand basin (the rubber seal had been removed around the pop up plug). The hotel and grounds were kept spotlessly clean and daily housekeeping of our room was appreciated. Some of the crockery/cutlery had residual food on it but plenty available so we just discarded and took replacements, would be hard to check everything coming out of the dishwashers so it’s understandable that some may be missed. Food was no better or worse than other all inclusive hotels we’ve been to but this was the first all inclusive for a while for us and we missed the variety and dining experience of ‘going out’ so unlikely we will do it again. Great to be able to grab cold drinks by the pool when you needed them without worrying about cards/money though. Staff were all friendly and polite but hats off to Aly who was a great character and brought so much fun. Aqua Fit and the Pool Party were definitely our highlights. A big thank you also to the receptionist (didn’t catch her name as I was a bit stressed) for sorting a taxi for us so quickly when our transfer to the airport failed to materialise, we made it in plenty of time thanks to the lovely driver.

"Great time, you get what you paid for!"

10.0

On arrival we had a warm welcome with a glass of fizz offered. The rooms are small which is a shame but not the end of the world, they are very clean and look modern so that makes up for it. Also a special compliment to the cleaners they were very friendly and did an excellent job. The grounds and hotel is all very clean. Sunbed situation is a slight let down as everyone reserves them before breakfast and it would be more fair to have a policy in place of no sunbed reservations, some people were putting them down around 7am. However there are an ample amount of sunbeds so it’s usually ok but not so much on busier days and they do get full up. The food was overall good, on the nicer side of all inclusive hotel buffets. Some of the themed nights were good, the man doing the bbq cooked some lovely meats. There is the usual bad parts of food but I’ve had the exact same in 5 stars and it’s half expected in all inclusives. The chefs were very friendly and all the freshly cooked food was very nice. The cocktails and drinks were very good, there were slight ques on busier days but the staff are excellent. Very friendly and work so hard. A special mention for Ali, who runs the entertainment, he is such a credit to the hotel, I hope they give him the recognition he deserves as he really is priceless. He finished early on one of the days and you can honestly notice the atmosphere drop. He gets everyone involved, brings everyone together and is so much fun. Even people who don’t get involved in activities can still watch and be around when he is entertaining everyone. The activities are a perfect level for the hotel as it balances it with peace and quiet. The energy he has is amazing and he is such a happy person. The foam party was so much fun! You can tell he just loves his job and seriously goes above and beyond for everyone. I firmly believe he is one of the main reasons this hotel is rated so highly, of course along with the rest of the friendly hard working staff. No one was rude or unhelpful which makes your stay much more enjoyable. For a 4 star hotel and for what you pay I’d say it’s perfect if not slightly better than what you pay which is why the hotel is rated so highly.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Comfortable and clean room. Daytime activities were just right - fun to take part in or just watch from the loungers. Plenty of space to sit or lounge. Evening entertainment was great and offered a good mix. Particularly liked the food. Great choice, different theme each night, vegetarian and vegan well-catered for. I was pleased to see that sometimes options ran out, suggesting a focus on reducing food waste.

"My stay at Cala Millor garden hotel"

6.0

Just returned after 10 days holiday… Good points…pools warm, sun beds always available, staff good, no queuing at bars, rooms serviced every day, good location, Aly made the entertainment fun an asset to the hotel! Bad points.. room tired needs some tlc, food not great, Luke warm, not enough labelling, snacks at pool bar only open 2hrs 11-1300..pool opens at 10 far too late closes at 6 far to early when your sitting in 30 degree heat! As a summary this isn’t a 4star hotel more like a good 3star because of these points we wouldn’t return to this hotel

"Not enough sunbeds"

8.0

Had a lovely holiday food was good plenty of choice and we had a set meal on our last night and it made a lovely change to be waited and have tablecloths and napkins hotel is very clean staff are lovely our only two things that could be better are not charging for beach towels 1 euro every time when clean towels are provided every day and clean beds every day, also there are not enough sunbeds and people put towels on either before they go to bed or very early in the morning not what I want on holiday.

"Lovely hotel and area👌"

10.0

Got a few days left of our 10 day stay. Now my husband says I’m very fussy 😫 🤔 Having read many of the reviews I would say whilst some have a point, the negatives are minimal and would not deter future visits. Positives far outweigh ie: Hotel is not too big so everything is on hand. We always found a sunbed no matter what time and we were never at pool before 10.30am. Food is very good, always something to suit. Cocktails are enjoyable and beer comes in pints from the bar not small plastic cups! Lots of varied daytime activities and evening entertainment is enjoyable. Star of the entertainment team is Aly: an entertaining character and absolute asset to the hotel🤩, Pools are very warm. Air con in rooms is good. Clientele mostly 40ish + couples. Area is fab, 2 mins walk to fab attractive shopping, restaurants, and bars on an attractive precinct. 5 minute walk to lovely sandy beach with many sunbeds (€€) and water sports and can walk along promenade to Cala Bona. Many various types of bikes etc to hire. Lovely safe area and hotel. We will return.
