Glacier View Lodge

The view is amazing. The welcome reception was a fun experience and the cocktail was so good. The kids loved the slushy. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The pillows were super fluffy. The room was warm for our preference at about 75 degrees but there were fans and we opened the window as well. The Skywalk was fun and we loved having it to our group only. Our glacier experience was super fun. The kids loved it. Liz our tour guide was the best! She was fun and great at helping get the beat pictures.

We planned our entire trip around a glacier-view hotel experience (with tours and a welcome reception), only to be told upon arrival that the hotel was closed due to plumbing issues. No advance notice. We were rerouted to Forest Park Hotel 1.5 hours away and charged $600 — supposedly a discount, but it wasn’t. The new hotel didn’t include the views or experiences we paid for, just a basic room. No compensation for the downgrade, no gas reimbursement, no effort to make it right. Staff had no authority to help, and a manager approved just 15% off. If we had canceled day-of, we’d be charged full price. But when Pursuit canceled on us, they took no real responsibility. A huge letdown on a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Picturesque and convenient location. Great restaurants and helpful staff. Beautiful views of Athabasca glacier from the room.

Cocktail and charcuterie

There was no road sign indicating the existence of the hotel, difficulty accessing the car park, no one to help with luggage, 100 metres walk to entrance through a gift shop , awful lift, only 1 receptionist

How close it was to our tour

That fact you don’t have a tesla supercharger on site. It distracts alot of people from staying there. We had to turn back halfway and do a full charge in jasper and come back by midnight for check in. Very upsetting and we probably not come back.

I had terrible experience during the stay. Firstly, There was no hot water when my wife was taking a shower. As a result, she got a cold and a mild fever the next day. This directly affected our health and disrupted our travel itinerary. I reported the issue multiple times and waited for hours, but no action was taken and no solution was provided. After a long day of driving, we expected at the very least a hot shower and a comfortable rest—basic amenities that every hotel should guarantee, especially at this price point. This was simply unacceptable Secondly, I was locked inside the bathroom twice during the stay. I did not slam the door or use any unusual force. This was very distressing, and I had to call for help on both occasions. Fortunately, the receptionist assisted me, but the fact that this could happen at all—more than once—is a serious safety and maintenance issue that should never be overlooked. What's more, Shortly after check-in, just when we wanted to relax, a fire alarm went off and forced all guests to evacuate to the first floor. While I understand and respect safety protocols, the alarm turned out to be a false alarm. What added to the frustration was the complete lack of communication afterward—no explanation or assurance was provided. It left us confused and stressed at the beginning of our stay. What was most disappointing of all was the way these issues were handled. After reporting everything, the only response I received was a casual “Sorry, that's the best I can do.” There was no formal apology, no effort to make things right, and no follow-up from any manager or senior staff. It felt like our concerns were dismissed completely. I Sent several emails for complain, butthere's no reaponse at all!

Lovely stay at the Glacier View lodge last weekend. My husband had surprised me with the Ice Odyssey package. This included a guided your of the Skywalk the first evening, then a night at the lodge and the Ice Odyssey glacier walk the next morning. There was a lovely charcuterie board served from 5-7 in the lounge with complimentary signature cocktail before the skywalk. Room was very clean, spacious and a nice large shower. We were actually in the Honeymoon suite which was a nice touch and it has beautiful views of two glaciers.
