Best Western Roslyn-Long Island Hotel

Coffee pot in room not working , no refrigerator, Had to be moved from my first room because of terrible odor in room, second I was given smelled normal. I would have liked some compensation , but hotel attendant said I would have to go through Expedia. Staff was pleasant, hotel was convenient location, breakfast was fine.

Its a cute hotel, mold in the bathroom. False advertisement online. WHEN booking the room for my family of 4. I booked a king size bed with a full sofa. I got there to a closet sized room with just a king bed. Construction was happening with no heads up.

So many things.

It was a terrible experience for me and my girlfriend! There was no fridge, no microwaves in the room. The room looked totally different from the pictures. Parking lot very not convenient for a certain amount of cars, the entrance is also the way out, crazy dangerous. After all, customer service was a disaster. I not recommending this space to no one.

Older hotel. Transitioning to Best Western from Holiday Inn. Staff was friendly.

The guy that was in the front desk did not update the room. I asked him for two bedroom. I had to sleep on the floor……

This room has very poor sound insulation. First, the windows do not block noise well, and the sound of cars passing outside is very loud. Second, whenever someone walks on the floor above, a loud noise comes from the ceiling of this room. While lying in bed, we constantly feel as if the people upstairs might fall through at any moment.

BED BUG BITES! The place was adequate, the breakfast was good, the lady who ran the breakfast was VERY nice. But when I woke up the morning of checkout I had these three bites that were itchy, burning and a little bloody! I returned home late at night and the next morning I took photos of the bites, researched online and learned that they are bites from bed bugs. I contacted the Suffolk County Health Department and they took this very seriously. The sent inspectors unannounced, ordered the hotel to exterminate several rooms and give them a written report. When I called the hotel they now are a Best Western not a HIE. On 8/28/25 I called IHG who owns Holiday Inns and 19 more, but was told by Ruben that since it is now a Best Western their policy is to not do anything even though it was a HIE when I was bitten. I started being a HI Priority club 40 years ago and have been loyal the whole time. This is very short sided of them because of the resulting lawsuit and losing a long time customer. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they put me on hold for 20 minutes and the supervisor Jayce disconnected the call. Very low class business tactic.
