was visiting essen classic car show hotel well placed to rail station and subway
Very convenient location for the hotel, and overall a comfortable stay. Bathrooms are nice and new, and the breakfast was good. Only negative was that they had no English channels available, so I felt a bit disconnected without my BBC!
I was there for a convention so didn't spend much time at the hotel. The only time I wanted to have something at the hotel bar on a Saturday night (10:00 PM) the bar was closed. The hotel is good and is close to the main train station so coming and going to the convention center is easy. Also if you arrive by car, the hotel has a good private parking.
Used the hotel for 1-night on a business trip with an early start in the morning so I did not use the facilities to any great extent.
Excellent staff, Hotel in a prime central location, local free car parking. All you need, we will stay there again.
Room is freezing. Engineer checked the room temperature and just told me 'it is fine'. Room change was rejected. Wifi is slow. I will never use this hotel anymore.
This is a functional, no-frills hotel convenient to the Essen train station. Very clean, fine for a short stay. If spending more time in Essen I'd look for something a bit more atmospheric or charming, but this worked out well for an overnight visit.
Very surprised that the restaurant was closed on a thursday !
I stayed here because it's right across the street from the train station (Essen Hbf) and I was attending an event in Dortmund the evening before, and heading to Dusseldorf Airport the next morning. It's clean, friendly and super convenient, with a very good breakfast buffet.
Reception staff were happy and helpful. Stayed one night as a stop-over, so location was ideal close to rail station.
