BSA Suites Makati

Stayed at BSA Suites twice this December: first to meet up with long-time friends in the city and the second to attend a friend's wedding. The hotel has all the basic stuff you need from any hotel - toiletries, towels, coffee and drinking water provisions, a personal fridge, etc. It's not swanky but the units are very spacious. The interiors are a bit outdated but everything (the sheets, the bathroom, the kitchen) was fresh and clean when we checked in. They have a pool, too, at the upper penthouse. The staffs are very courteous and professional. You can't order food via room service though. But who needs room service when you're just a few steps away from the city's best eats, right? Located along Palanca Street, the posh but peaceful semi-residential side of Makati, there's Salad Stop and Belle and Dragon right across the street. ArmyNavy, Pan de Manila, a Family Mart, and a Mini Stop if you're on a budget. We even went to Legazpi Sunday Market, which is just a short walk from BSA. Ayala Triangle and the malls are all just a stone's throw away, too. All in all, I believe BSA Suites is the best hotel in Makati: -if you're on a budget (more or less 2,000 per night) -if you don't want to splurge -if you're staying for a long time -if you want a big room all to yourself or your friends and family with your own kitchen -if you're going to spend a lot of time outside shopping or just strolling around Makati. Still, with its well-fitted rooms, warm staff, and convenient location, BSA Suites gives you a lot of bang for your buck.

Very Rude guards!

Rooms were basic but spacious with a small comfort room. The location is really good - near shopping, various restaurants and bars. It gives you the real feel of Makati City. Price is very competetive. Will I be back? Yes, why not. I had a good stay!

Had a good experience in this hotel overall. The location is good, very central yet it's pretty quiet, too. Just a short walk from the mall. The room is also nice, very spacious. Just needs a bit updating. Good hotel for its price.

I was in Manila for a charity event and they suggested this location. The room was very basic and different from places I stayed at before such as One World, the Fairmont or Makati Diamond. The location is prime but the building was a little old, one elevator wasn’t working and the room itself was quite old. I didn’t find insects but my work colleagues did. The TV wasn’t even a flat screen but the channel options were ok. I did decide to book another hotel and only keep this for early morning starts. It’s ok for basic amenities but not if you are coming for a holiday.

Don't expect this hotel to be posh , its better than that , cause its very friendly and the staff will always be very helpful . They even have some one to carry your luggage and open the hotel door for you . The air conditioning is really very good . If you need clean towels and the bed making , its done every time you wish . Its very clean , if you need a hairdryer , just ask. The room we had even had cooking equipment , so you can make your own meals. They are upgrading the second lift , every thing is in good usable order . The room we had was a very good size . There is even a swimming pool and gym with good views of Makati , as its on the roof . I stayed with my girlfriend , it was her recommendation that we have a vacation there .

We stayed here for five days. We were upgraded to a one bedroom since a room with a queen bed was not available. We had our own living room and ample space to move around. One of the off things about this hotel is that there is only one key provided per room. That means if the other person needs to step out, the card to keep the power in the room is not available as well. It is in a good location though, situated in Palanca where is a variety of bars, pubs, and restaurants as well. If you're on a budget, this is a good place to stay. Otherwise, if you are expecting a slightly posh accommodation, then you need to stay elsewhere. For the cost, there is great value for money.
