Campanile Swindon

Bar shutting at 10 especially on a Saturday night was dissapointing. Been working in my room during the evening so a late night drink and unwind at the bar would have been perfect. Have to say I've never known a bar shut that early in a hotel and I've stayed in a fair few. Other than that no complaints, room was clean breakfast was excellent and staff were very polite and attentive. Bar hours could do with a review especially at the weekend but wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

It was handy for where I needed to be.

Avoid Campanile swindon. Especially if you are driving there. What they dont tell you is you have to pay extra to park a vehicle. Very funny if you like 99% of people drive to a hotel. Plenty of other hotels in swindon. Avoid this one like the plaguw. Also it is not pointed out to you that you have to pay and the machine is conveniently away from the reception area. Even online is states paid parking. Not, parking is extra or parking not included in the price.

The lift is permanently out of order as we stayed here previously and it was not working then either. Charges for car parking. No restaurant available. Quiet. Basic but clean room. Handy for KFC or McDonald's.

Everything, from reception to manager seemed like there first day, no clue on how to deal with public and work in hospitality, except 1 gentleman in reception, he was pretty good, the hotel smelled of eather curry or marijuana depending on the day, faulty shower, dirty bedding on arrival, with new sheets laid yet dirty, was moved rooms 2x, Never staying again, just because it's the cheapest hotel doesn't mean It has to be this bad, sent an email to their main offices 2 days ago never got a response, campanille is worst hotel and company I have ever seen, oh and the manager seemed way to angry at me complaining about this all and wanted to offer me free breakfast, wouldn't touch there breakfast with a 10 foot pole. This 3.5 point review sister is dead wrong, go to trust pilot and see the reviews haha I have never made reviews on hotels, and I've stayed in few over my life time, if I had stayed in the hotel in business and a company was paying I wouldn't complain, but I payed with my money and this hotel is shameful, again the only thing that saved this hotel and kind of disarmed me on getting angry was that one gentleman in reception he was Portuguese, bless him, 10x the man that manager was.

Stayed here for 1 night with a friend the rooms are quite tired. The mattresses not the best quality, the rooms could do with a refurbishment, however for the price, we paid it was fine for 1 night.

The hotel is incredibly tired. The lift apparently hasn't worked for ages. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and friendly and helpful. The shower was crazy, ranging from freezing to scalding wothout touching anything.

Okay hotel, basic mattresses just somewhere to put your head really

Had to pay for car parking, the room looked nothing like it was supposed. The lift wasn’t working. The bathroom was dirty

Bed was springy. Staff friendly. Breakfast poor.
