We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the reception team was especially helpful, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. The breakfast was very generous with plenty of choices, especially if you enjoy a traditional British breakfast. The connected restaurant “1840” was absolutely delicious — we had a great dining experience there. There is also a small but very well-maintained outdoor pool, which was perfect for relaxing. I cannot comment on the gym because we did not use it. The hotel is in a convenient location, about 1 km from the city centre, and there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. The buses only run once per hour, but getting into the city is still quite easy. Cleanliness was excellent everywhere in the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and perfectly fine, although the interior is not the most modern anymore. Overall, a lovely stay with excellent service, good food, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended

Reception staff and waiters in dining hall were great. Rooms very clean. Good location near to bus station.

Furniture in rooms showing age. No air con in rooms. Miserable barman who was very unhelpful and abrupt and not welcoming to the guests.

Rooms were a little tired. No air conditioning, which was a problem given the mini heatwave. It would have been nice if they opened the terrace for breakfast/dining.

Old tied I complained about room but was told it’s not the savoy London I said I know but expect a half decent standard room luck if my room number 30 was 2 star at best took photos and videos of how bad it was
