Great Wolf Lodge Grand Mound

So convenient! Wrist bands work for almost everything… so nice to not have to carry around purse/wallet… one simple band for parking, room key, park entry, etc. Staff was all very friendly and enjoyed the food and drink options!

This was our third time visiting Great Wolf Lodge Grand Mound, and this visit might have been the best time yet. We invited the little cousins to come with us and brought our old MagiQuest wands to play the game with them. Unfortunately, one of the wands wouldn't work, but the employees helped us get a low cost replacement wand to put our topper on so our whole family could play. The help was much appreciated, and the MagiQuest ended up being one of the highlights of the trip! Honestly, I was initially worried about the older teens being too old for the lodge, but the tweens/teens had a blast hanging out with the cousin crew in the toddler pool as well as going on the water slides all day long and then playing in the arcade at night. I felt the stay was a really good value for all that we did with the cousins while we were there and how much fun the kids all had. Definitely cheaper than a hotel + water park tickets for all of us!

I get that there is a lot going on here; however, when a poorly design soda fountain decides how much of the soda I paid for I can have (which wasn’t 20 oz) and the okay-ish pizza is too salty, and having been charged $56 for middle of the road pizza, I am not too interested in coming here ever again.

Cheyanne was kind, attentive, kept us engaged and entertained, and was very helpful with our kids. We had a big crowd and she did an excellent job getting our kids with passes checked in for the mining and maze. However, I think it's not fair for the employees that aren't working in food or bar that they can only accept cash tips but nowhere in the hotel utilizes cash payments - so I couldn't break a $20 anywhere to give her a cash tip. I think if I am signing for my credit card, I should be able to add a tip to whichever place I am at so the employees can get tipped out accordingly.

Room was average and we got a letter to stay another night for 79 but when we went down to extend our stay they said they couldn't honor the deal because our room was not available

Great place, wish they didn't close the wave pool every two hours now, Also the howlin' tornado is very fun don't be scared. The place is just fun in general, Great workers, great food, great rooms!

Stayed two nights in Feb for mid-winter break. This is the first time we re-visit the lodge after their major remodeling. It was disappointing. Pros: 1. They have two full size garbage bins and it saved me a lot of work clean up. 2. Staffs are friendly. I went back to explain I’ve already returned the towels but didn’t know I need to scan room. The staff trusted me. 3. I don’t drink but I can see the new bar looks attractive. Cons: 1. Parking is not only expensive but also difficult to find empty spots. 2. Food has as bad reviews as before remodeling and I had to stick with instant noodles for two days. Why is it so hard to provide good food at this location? 3. My room is accessible queen with sofa bed. The queen bed has a bad foundation. It moved around when I ran into it. It makes squeaky sound if someone is on it. It’s worse quality than The sofa bed. 4. Most of all, the activities got worse. Water park opens at 10am, one hour later than summer. Wave pool doesn’t have wave until after 11am. MagicQuest was upgraded to a new version. My son lost all his previous progress. This new version is so easy that my son finished it in one day, leaving nothing to do for day 2. This would be our last visit unless they improve the MagicQuest significantly.

Everything was warm felt and home away from home. My family will most definietly book again and have recommended GWL to our friends and their families.
