Great Wolf Lodge Grand Mound

Our 2nd visit to this location, which is much smaller than some other GWL’s we’ve visited. I think that’s why this location just doesn’t quite meet expectations….there’s not enough to keep the kids busy unless you want to spend a fortune in the arcade. The pool area is very tight, especially when it’s busy. Our kids aren’t tall enough for the bigger rides, so the area they can play in was pretty limited. The room we booked was also tight. One of the bathrooms was almost impossible to use….a toilet with a shower stuck behind the door….the door was so close to the shower that the door was always wet and had lots of visible rust. There are no blankets on the beds….just a sheet and a very thin comforter….our girls were cold at night. The restaurant for dinner was a mixed bag. Food was good, but very expensive and it took forever for the food to arrive after ordering. We had reservations for both nights of our stay, but opted for McDonald’s on the 2nd night. For the money, it was a sub-par experience. I don’t think we’ll return to this location. Staff is mostly friendly and helpful (especially the ladies in the gift shop) tho.

GWL has unfortunately gone downhill drastically… Rooms: Dirty rooms, broken doors in rooms, broken microwaves, not cleaned correctly, the bedding is very very cheap feeling and not warm at all (we had to take sheets from the extra sheets and use it on the beds). Pool area: dirty, not cleaned enough. Hot tub areas were disgusting! For sure feel like yes it’s a family friendly place but one hot tub needs to be actually hot and be adults only the amount of disrespect from kids to adults in the hot tub is crazy! Speaking from experience i have 3 kids of my own and have been coming here for 6 years and it’s now became a place that’s not fun for my family anymore.. Food places: they are clean and the food is good, just wish the places did room delivery for families with little as as well as maybe having some silverware in the rooms.. Another issue is the disrespect and attitude from staff members when asked questions.. There needs to be more of an adult fun to this hotel like there used to be with the spa..

Our kids love going to GWL. The staff is friendly and helpful, we loved our suit, the food is tasty, and the water park is overall a blast! Our main complaint is how much they try to nickle-and-dime you. The most frustrating way that happened this trip is with the new parking charge. Seemed a little shady to us to charge $25 extra for each day of parking that isn’t clearly stated upfront when you reserve the room.

Everything was great. The room was pretty cold though and we couldn’t figure out the thermostat to warm it up but we just got more blankets and we’re fine.

This is a great place if you want to spend thousands of dollars to sit and wait for an elevator for half of your stay . Absolutely awful. I don’t know how with for working elevators on one wing of the hotel you seemingly cannot find one in a reasonable amount of time and definitely not one that isn’t full. Additionally, these folks lie and charge you for towels that were “not returned “. I stood there and watched my wife drop off three , I watched them scan her bracelet for returning the three towels, yet they still charge us. Apparently this is all too common for this . One star all the way around.

This was a memory that my kids will never forget.

All the workers are super friendly and the place is super crean and fun. Rooms are awesome and clean.

Be careful booking your events online. They are sold at a much higher premium than what you get at the actual location . I tried to get them to price match but they would not.

I went to the Grand Mound location Never disappoint my 7th time And my Brother and his family first Time and we are already to plan a visit for next year Room's really clean Only bummer thing was we couldn't open the room windows alway We rented our first cabana well worth It would rent another on our next trip Next year It would be cool to add a multi family Deal with rooms and cabana For the stay Thank you GW Grand mound Crew

Grand Mound, great atmosphere, room was ok. The curtain slide needs to be fixed and the water dripped in the restroom all night and my let out sofa bed bag of sheets and blanket were dirty when I prepared to use them but was replaced when I called. We had a blast all and all. Will definitely be going back! Our 4th time
