"Rotavirus!!!"

2.0

We picked up rotavirus after only an overnight stay! Ended up in ER sick for 3 days. Management and their insurance company just chewed me out and questioned. In the end I was at fault!? NEVER AGAIN

Always fun. Parking is too expensive and the food credits and ordering could be easier

"Exhausted 😩 no accommodation for walker"

2.0

I had called in advance to let the staff know that one person in my party would be using a walker to get around because they can't go long distances without it and often need to rest in between if it's too far to walk I was told that we would get a unit or room close to the elevator because they had no rooms available on the bottom floor let me just say that 17 doors down the hallway is not at all close which left my guest and myself completely exhausted from all the walking that was necessary in order to have fun well staying at the hotel now having a walker and going to the water park even though it's inside was still far more work than anybody should have to do when on vacation there is no elevator to get down to the water park floor because you enter on the second floor and have to walk down stairs they do however have a ramp that is zigzag down and then back up and it's about as long as nearly half the building itself taking that ramp is more exhausting than walking down the hallway to get to the elevator to go downstairs. Then to add to that problem I paid for the breakfast buffet for the two mornings that we were there the first morning just about everything I got on my plate taste Rancid even the box of chocolate milk was one day before The Pull Date... nobody offered to refund me for the package I paid for for that problem but I did get four tickets to get a free one scoop of ice cream still not a good replacement when I was left ill for the rest of that day, day one of our trip that is... there's sign saying the vending machine is located at the furthest end off the hallways on floors 2-8 and there wasnt 1 vending machine in that whole entire hotel. You're left to pay the high prices of the food they have to offer in the new market they put in...ive been going to this same location every year for the last 5 plus years and this was by far the worst time ive had over all.... not to forget that I paid for the kids cabin room and the kids didn't even have a TV in their space!

"Great weekend with the teens"

10.0

The rooms were very clean and has large trash can a which I really appreciate. the luggage carts were super helpful if you can't find any in the hallways there is a cart corral near the main entrance. The elevators get backed up with people which can cause you to wait a bit, especially during peak hours. Everything was great, service was super helpful. Parking was as expected. I brought a couple teenagers for a birthday weekend celebration and they really enjoyed running around the hotel and water park, lots to do and for the adults too.

"A TRULY GREAT TRIP"

10.0

We stayed on the 5th floor and our only issue was not enough elevators and the elevators are super slow (and that is only a small “complaint” in my mind)! The staff at Great Wolf Lodge-Grand Mound, WA was all amazing and their attentive, helpful, friendly, and prompt service really made this trip a standout for us! One of our favorite feature’s was the ability to ask questions and request service/items via text (the response was amazingly FAST! we got info on the ropes course, several blankets, towels, Kleenex, etc.!). My kiddos had a GREAT time and the free program schedule (we did Arts & Crafts, Family Dance Party, The Legend of Luna show, and Family Games) made this trip (which was more expensive than we’d normally be able to afford) a really enjoyable getaway! Instead of just a hotel and water park stay, it really felt like more of an “experience”! We definitely want to go back…my kiddo’s requested going back SOON! 😊 I guess, the only improvements I’d request would be: 1) for the pullout couch, it would be really nice if GWL had an “overlay” (could be foam mattress pad/memory foam topper/etc.) to cushion the sleeping surface (which is only a little softer than sleeping on the floor). However, I knew from a previous stay how firm the couch bed is, so we brought a blowup mattress to put on top of the couch pullout and that worked for us! 2) it would be REALLY nice if, in addition to a clothes line in the bathroom and hangers, it would be REALLY helpful and applicable if GWL had something (foldable clothes rack, etc?) in each room for drying the swimsuits in between uses each day. From us, we’d like to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all folks who made our vacation so enjoyable!!

"Not recommending"

2.0

Overall would not choose to return. Only positive about the stay is staff are friendly. The food is expensive and not good. There are way too many people in the place to even enjoy yourself. Breakfast buffet was $100 and not even good. Not worth it to spend so much money here. Noise levels in the halls at 11pm wasn’t terrible. Just random kids running and screaming down the halls. The arcade and magi quest we paid for took far too long to do anything because too many little kids are unaccompanied and just messing around with stations without even playing the game. It’s our chaos with unattended children throughout the entire place.

"The latest changes in the last few years."

6.0

I’ve been here several times over the last 10 years and it’s been 2 years since I went last, before this recent trip. There have been many changes, and honestly not very good ones. First, they made it to where people can come for the day and you don’t have to have a room to use the facilities which makes it overcrowded in my opinion. The wait times are a lot longer for everything, which made the stay less fun. The hall ways were crowded with housekeeping carts during the day and in the “fun” parts of the place it was kinda hard to get around there were so many people. The elevators are really slow, so slow many people chose to use the stairs, and with a stroller it is a pain. The elevator in the back of the hotel is much slower than the main elevator, like a 10 minute wait, so if you’re room is near that elevator and you had to park in the way way back because there are so many people because of the day pass, it takes forever to get to your car unless you take the stairs, and not everyone can use the stairs. Parking is also a pain in the neck, it took 20 minutes and several times around the parking lot to find a spot. They also put in gates for parking so you have to use your wrist band to get in so if all the check-in spots by the main doors are being used you either have to get a ticket and pay for parking or wait for a spot to open somewhere else, and to use your wrist band to open the gate you basically have to get out of your car, which also sucks. The room appears clean but the kids feet were black after about 10 minutes so they weren’t that clean and we found a bunch of garbage behind the mini fridge and the bathtub was not clean. Also the linens for the pull out bed was only two sheets no blanket no pillow. The only good change was the addition of the new restaurants and bars. Overall we only had an ok time not as fun as other times we’ve been.

"Connor was awesome!"

8.0

Our family of 5 visited. Se accident booked for 6. It was a good time but expensive. I thought the Magi search was a huge waste of money which is why I give four stars rather than five. The kids hated it. What our family did enjoy was the variety of restaurants, being able to bring our on food in, the water park was worth the drive, the kids liked the arcade, the bubble park was a huge hit. We bumped to employer Conner twice. Once he greeted us at the Magi store. Then he greeted us at the Arcade. He has great customer service and we really appreciated his assistance. Shout out to Conner!
